320GB hard drive for DELL Inspiron 1420 1520 1521 1720 1721 6400 640M

Purchased this for my old Dell Inspiron 1520 that my daughter uses for homework a couple of days a week. The original 160GB Seagate hard drive failed (the laptop is old but has had very little use until my daughter started using it). I received this new Western Digital 320GB hard drive in 3 days and it was packaged very well. I took out the old hard drive, put this one in, booted up with the Windows 7 disk to reinstall Windows and the laptop is now working flawlessly. If I can get at least another year out of this old laptop, the $30 I spent on this hard drive will be well worth it! I will update if there are any issues in the near future!

Have no problem with this product it arrive a lot faster than i though it would it came in two days. I had no problem with installing it and was rith size.

it did not fit. also, only 1/2 of half the screws were sent. not pleased at all. I have a inspiron 1720 with the extra hd bay which I ordered for.

Was a white label drive, did not say anything about this on the product page and after doing some research that bothered me. According to my system this was a Western Digital Blue (clicking sound constantly, was annoying, apparently that's normal for blues). Returned this and just spent the extra $20 to get the real deal, a new WD Black with 5 year warranty. Much quieter, faster (7200 rpm) drive that stays cool and makes a huge performance difference even on my 6 year old Inspiron. This could have been a perfectly fine drive but in the end guess I wanted to be sure and wanted higher performance.

I had an old Dell that had a hard drive that had died. It sat in a closet for 2 years. I was browsing Amazon and found a good price for a replacement drive. The drive was easy to install (thanks to watching youtube). I still had the install discs that came with the pc, so I loaded them down, and booted it up. The drive works great.

Excellent product and I really liked my expectation filled the qualify because everything arrived as requested I really I liked all the pretty enough to recommend to all the community through Amazon not change. would recommend vendor to other to purchase their much needed items, i really like the service and the products that i have received.

Absolutely no problem. Replacement of the original hard drive was easy. Cloning the existing hard drive to this was one and upsizing a little was also no issue. The purchase process was without incident and the delivery time couldn't have been better. I'd purchase this way again if I needed another replacement. So far, no issues and the computer is working fine.
