Heats up water fast and looks great overall satisfied with my purchase initially. I have owned this model kettle for two years now. A few weeks ago it started to malfunction. Once in awhile it would appear to be dead and once you picked up and repositioned it on the base a few times would light up and work again. That lasted for a few days and now it is completely dead. Soo now I’m back to the old trusty gas kettle again. Although short lived I enjoyed it when it worked and I would have to agree on it taking forever to boil. Like someone else mentioned it does take a full ten minutes to boil. Maybe I should have bought the extended warranty.

1 year update: still going strong! slight scale buildup cause I haven't cleaned it with vinegar like the instructions suggest, but it still boils quickly :)I'll start with the features I don't like:The sprout where you pour the water into a cup isn't covered, so over time there can be dust.If you have hard water, there will be water stains and mineral residue inside, so you'll have to follow the instructions and use a part vinegar wash to clean it.Other than that, I really like this electric kettle! Takes about five minutes to bring 1.5 liters to a boil, and it's rather insulated so it stays hot too. The electric base feels cheap but it's still working perfectly fine more than a month later.

I have owned this kettle for four months now and I am very happy with it. I use it at least once daily. The water heats quickly and there are no problems with the shut-off valve (my last kettle no longer shut off automatically - definitely a problem). While condensation may be a problem, I leave the top open after using it so the water can evaporate. The lid opens almost 90 degrees for easy fill-up from the sink.

Purchased the pot May 2023. It is now January 2024. Went to turn it on, it doesn't work. Only used by my husband and myself to heat water to make our morning tea. It is For a pot that cost almost $30, I would expect to to at least last a year,hopefully more. It did not. Would not recommend it. Not worth the money.

Works great and no metal tubes to heat the water inside, aslong as it lasts years im very satisfied

Pros:-Wide pour spout solves some of the over pour/spilling issues of my last kettle.-The large light up window makes it easy to fill.-priceCons:-This one takes FOREVER to boil. Close to 10 minutes for a full pot. My old electric kettle took about 4.5 minutes.-heat retention is lacking. If it comes to a boil and sits for more than 5 minutes I have to reboil it.-it doesn't click on to the base very well. This is a nitpicking one I know. But sometimes I have to reposition it or jiggle it a bit to get it to fully connect to the base.Overall it's working for me. But that long boil time is really making me think about getting another one and letting this sit as a backup.
