This item only lasted a year then stopped working. I never heated water when it was less than half full so there should not have been an issue with it overheating. now the price is more than double what i paid .(15USD). My old Proctor Silex i have had for years is still working. Looks are not everything

I’ve recently been on this tea kick so I decided to get an electric kettle. I chose something cheaper, on the off chance I get bored with my tea obsession (still going strong). There’s nothing cheap about this little kettle. I got the beige one and it gives me a pleasant retro feel. It has a sturdy weight without being too heavy. No drips or leaks. I also have no intention of upgrading because this is perfect for us. I love the blue light that stays on as it heats up. It heats a full pot of room temperature water to boiling in 7 minutes. We use it several times a day....not just for tea but also instant stuff like cocoa and ramen noodles.

Worked for a year and a half, now no blue 'on' light and no heat. I contacted support at Ovente and will see if they do anything since I'm six months over the warranty. The top doesn't go all the way back so you have to be careful putting water in it at the faucet. I would have liked to have it chime when done heating the water so will look for that feature in the next one.

I. Love. This. Kettle! My husband and I both travel often for work and side hustles, we bring this along for easy hot water in our accommodations. It works like a dream and makes preparing anything a breeze. 10/10 recommend for travelers, families, the cooking challenged, those chained to their desks, camping enthusiasts, and more!

I LOVE this kettle!!! the red is fabulous and matches my other red appliances.. i love the LED lights on it..My only concern it that the top does not seem to seal exactly right.. it closes but may be a bit off alignment. I will contact seller about this.. otherwise it's perfect!!!!

My wife knocked our kettle on the floor so we needed a replacement. This arrived quickly in perfect condition. It has a pretty bluelight and you can see bubbles through the window. The cord was not properly routed through the slot in the base so I forced it into position. After a few heating cycles it settled in without lifting the base, which is very lightweight. Attractive and functional at a good price.

I bought this kettle to replace a plastic/glass one that I had for a while that came apart. This seemed like nicely designed and more durable kettle. I noticed the plastic smell almost from the first time I tried to use it. I thought that as more I use it the smell would go away.I got this kettle at the end of May and the plastic smell is still very strong and won't go away.Update Sep 2019: I did follow up with customer service and try to "descale" the kettle a few times. The smell got a little better, but still present. I decided to replace the kettle and ordered Ovente KG83R Electric Kettle instead.

I absolutely love this little pot. First, it’s color, like a candy apple red, second it’s compact, not as large as the two I have previously owned, three, it’s hold the same amount and gives me the hottest water in a matter of minutes. I have never purchased this brand before, but it is all they say it is and more. Highly recommend.
