After researching the various possibilities, I landed on this product as the advertising specifically indicated it works with the Canon Elph SD800 IS camera. After trying to fit the battery into the charger a number of times, I can say that in fact it does NOT work with the battery for the SD800 IS. Very disappointing and so irritated for the false advertising. Do not waste your time or money, it is not worth the effort. Did more research and found an original battery charger for the same price.
