I used this to repair an automotive a/c line and it worked perfectly. It held vacuum as well as 134a freon at 300 psi without leaking a single molecule that i could detect with my "sniffer". For a few dollars more than that piece of aluminum crap that is marketed as an aluminum ac line splice which leaks on 3/4 of the reviews. It is well worth the price, as you won't have to fix it more than once.As a machinist by trade, I highly recommend this product.

I ordered the wrong size and had to return it, but it was well made and solid stainless steel as described.
