Recommended hydroponics air pump... here’s why
I bought one of these to pump air into my hydroponics reservoir. I selected this unit because of price, customer rating, and by reading the reviews. On differentiator for me was the fact that the pump has two air outputs. That’s very convenient for me as I have multiple reservoirs. There are several configurations you can choose: Two separate air lines Two lines joining into one lineTheoretically, you maybe able to split each of the lines so that you get four air lines, but I haven’t tried that. The unit comes everything needed to get started. You get the main unit with attached power cord,2 air tubes, T-connector, and the air stones.I don’t recall if it included instructions or not, but the only place you could possibly get hung up is that you need to keep a load on the pump. Keep the air stones on the tubing and keep them submerged. Also, there is a valve to keep any water from returning back into the pump, you’ll want to attach the the tubing to the pump, cut the tubing about 2-3” from the pump, attach the valves correctly (blow through them to quickly figure out which way the flow should be), and then attach the rest of the tubing. Thread the tubing through any lids/objects and finally attach the stone to the end of each line.It also comes with a T-connector so that you can join both outputs into a single line. I didn’t use this function, but it makes sense.I used the unit for about a month, and then bought another as a spare. When I brought that unit into regular service I bought two more as spares in case one ever fails.I run my pumps outside. I know they’ll be easily damaged by water, so I place them in raised pedestals (upside down net cups) with plastic covers made of gallon milk containers with openings cut to allow power cords and air lines to pass through. The noise level is extremely low. I need to walk directly up to the pumps and then lean over them to ensure they’re still working. Again, I run mine outside rather than in my bedroom where I may notice the pumps much more.I cannot speak to the suction level. The air pumps through at a pretty good clip, so I can say that it works. It’s more of a blower than a vacuum, so I’m not sure what the suction rating is measuring. Again, it blows air into the hydroponic solution to keep it oxygenated as expected.I have been running two of the pumps outside for several months now without any issue at all. I do recommend this product. I also bought the submersible pump from the same company (no idea what they’re called), but will review that separately.

Great product very quiet!
Works great very strong and quiet. More force then i thought but I have it in a 3 gal tank so I'm sure that's why.

Less air more quiet
Update: Tank backflowed. I had one check valve on the air stone not filter. Check valve seemed to stop some water but definitely not all. Luckily I was awake and heard the pump shut off. It must've gotten completely soaked and then broke down. The pump shut off before the whole tank drained, which is good, but the pump is still ruined. I still recommend this air pump, though. Not it's fault, but the check valve is faulty. The seller replaced as well.Previous Review:This air pump is amazing. I use it in a 2.4 gallon tank with my single betta in it. This is a VERY strong air pump I have to turn it down a lot with the adjuster valve to get it good for my betta. I have also noticed that the more air it's putting out the more noisy it is, since I have it on a low setting it is really quiet, I sleep with it just fine. I currently have it powering an HOB (hang on back) air powered filter and one of the air stones that come with it. The tubing seems to be great too. I would definitely recommend this product.

Does the job and better
Needed to oxygenate my tap water because I put it in a 55 gal. drum to eliminate the chlorine before I water my organic garden. Because I let the tap water sit for a few days the oxygen escapes and I need to add oxygen. Bought this air pump kit. I wasn't really sure this unit had enough power to get down 4' to the bottom of the drum. I cut the supplied 1/4" line to direct both outlet ports into one stone. I had to weigh the air stone down to stay on the bottom. It worked perfectly. I use this outside, so noise is not an issue although it is pretty quiet anyway. Pleasantly surprised!Happy roots!

Powerful and quiet, once everything tightly connected
Complains about noise: try to re-attach all hose parts and re-position the main unit. I almost returned this air pump back since my initial installation produced too much noise. Played with correct attachment of the tubes and placement for 5 min before calming this monster down. Very powerful - I connected my unit to the smart outlet and use it per schedule only. The only minus fir this kit is absence of the second backflow stopper - unit has two sockets, so 2 units preventing accidental backsplash if water seems logical to include.

Got this for a betta Tank
I bought this to use in my 10 gallon betta tank, was shocked at how loud it was, I did not take into consideration the two openings and the fact that the uncovered one would make a buttload of noise! So added an airstone to my mason jar full of "betta tea" (if you know about IAL then you know they tend to cause a oily residue on the surface of the water). After this, it was as quiet as a mouse! Which it came with 2 adjustable valves but this it came with everything I needed! would 10/10 recommend!
