Kenmore 25328092801 upright freezer - started beeping when the door was opened and then quit. I ordered this part 297366203 to replace part 297242003. I first ordered a refurbed part off ebay. That one did absolutely nothing so I returned it. This one arrived quickly and was well packaged. It didn't want to fit quite right at first. I needed to gently push the capacitors (I think) away from the pins to get it to seat. Once I plugged in, the freezer started up immediately and has been running fine for several days. So glad I didn't have to go through time, expense and hassle of replacing the old freezer. One less appliance in the landfills!

When the power flashed, it took out my freezer. In a panic, I read online that this unit controlled everything. They were right! It controls everything from the compressor to the interior light. I couldn’t believe how easy this was to replace. It’s completely modular, and a putty knife to the edge and it was removed. The new unit came well packed and sealed, even with the original peel off plastic over the front. It took the usual 24h to re-stabilize the temperature, and the outside of my freezer was quite warm. I read this is normal. Eventually the temp went into my set range, and the compressor went into the normal cycle to maintain chill. The exterior sides are now normal temp, and I was able to restock the freezer.This board fixed my 2009 Kenmore Elite upright freezer 253.28712804

I took a guess at this being the solution to my Frigidaire upright freezer issue and it immediately resolved the issue. Have to slightly bend a few transistors so it would plug in but it's been running perfect ever since.You can use a paint scraper to gently wedge underneath the plate to take it out. Truth be told, I didn't even know this entire replacement was an option. Great price ta' boot. Good luck.

Due to a power surge the freezer would not reset and nothing would work, so I risked it. Popped out the old one , popped in the new one and it's running like a charm. ( with a surge protector now!! )

I thought this should have been a simple replacement of a circuit board. After using it for a short time the circuit board failed. Stays in the hi temp mode for defrost.
