This dog attachment device does not come with instructions. But I'll give you a hint: It only works when you attach the hook on the end to your dog's collar, and hold the loop on the other end in your hand (don't let go or it doesn't work right). So to use this leash you'll need to buy a dog collar (no instructions included) and put that collar around your dog's neck. Once you get that figured out this lease will keep your dog from running away or getting into trouble while walking her outside—as long as you don't let go of the loop end. The best thing about this is that it doesn't need batteries.Seriously, it's a nice sturdy leash and the bright orange color makes it easy to find when it's lying around the house or when you have to quickly find and grab it when it's laying in the grass as your dog is bolting after that squirrel (I told you not to let go of the loop). One very helpful use that I never thought of was to leash-walk your new dog through your house and yard for the very first time—worked like a charm and helped make the dog feel more secure in a scary new place. I read that in a book. See, having instructions WOULD be nice, wouldn't it? And you thought I was crazy. Who's crazy now?

This is a very nice quality leash, the color (pink) is bright and vibrant, but not so that it is a neon. Just a very bright pink.It is made well and made in the USA! So rare these days and a feature we were not exactly expecting. The clip part that goes on the collar is substantial, works smoothly and also appears to be quality workmanship.We have had less exepnsive and just as expensive leashes which frayed, fuzzed, etc., and had problems with the clip (we have only had this a month, so if it exhibits problems later, I will update). I will be ordering more leashes and collars from this comapny in the future for our other pups. When you figure in the price of gasoline, what retail stores charge and a possible search for what you want ~ and compare that to this leash ($10.99) and take into account it qualifies for Free Super Saver Shipping, it is a good deal here with very little hassle (except to find what you want through Amazon search :-) ~ and as usual, Amazon shipping was quick and hassle-free. And again ~ it's made in the USA!

There are a lot of nice things about this leash. It is very well made. It hasn't frayed with use or with being tossed in the washer. It's also been colour-fast. The clip has always worked - easy enough to release, but it's never opened on its own, even under the load of some heavy, multi-directional pulling. One thing to note, though - the description says that this medium-sized lead is six feet long and the one that we received was just four feet. Since we were desperate we went ahead and used it and it turned out to be better than our six-footer, for our needs, but it could be a big problem, if you truly want a six-foot by three-quarter inch leash. Otherwise, it's a solid, high-quality choice. (Note: we also ordered a large-sized model that was was as described, at six feet.)

This is a simple nylon leash. However, the ones in the pet store just like it are $15. It has a nice color to it. It is sturdy. My dog is a puller, and it holds her well (27 lb Jack Russell Terrier mix). It is good for medium sized dogs and hyper dogs. I really like the buckle on it. It is comfortable of your hand. I'm very happy with the purchase.

If your dog is over like 10 or 15 lbs this will be too small. I wanted a good 5 foot leash, but expected it to be just a bit thicker with the next size up of hardware. It is actually perfect for a cat, but not for all small dogs. I don't trust it with our 20 lbs Shiba because it doesn't feel that sturdy if she were to chase after something. It just feels a little cheap and flimsy. We actually do use it for our cats, though.

I walk my 50 pound dog 3 times a day (3-5 miles a day total). I need a strong leash that can deal with weather (rain and snow) and dragging on the ground. After using this leash a few months, I know that this is just what I wanted. I have not seen anything this sturdy and affordable in any of the local pet stores.

In dog rescue, I always have leashes, collars and such in my car. The leashes have to be strong and the clips have to be easy to use. I may be picking up a very calm dog, but it may also be a scared animal, or not used to a leash or ..... well who knows. This leash looks nice, which is part of what I want people to see, a professional caring response. And it's strong. And it's easy to tuck into any bag, a back pocket. I would use it to walk my own dogs and that says it all.
