Avenues 17" Laptop Computer Case - Executive Messenger Bag Briefcase "The Citadel"

I was very, very pleased when I received this. It is built strong, like military strong. The nylon is excellent- and all the handles and clasps are secure and tough. I can fit my 17"HP laptop in here, and power adapter, plus my full size writer's MAX Blackbird keyboard, plus my 12.2" Samsung Tablet, plus several of my textbooks, plus my notebook, plus any pens, passport, credentials, etc. The room in here is incredible, and every compartment is padded- which is awesome- you can't find that in cheaper cases. The padded strap is better and more comfortable than any case I've tried so far. The look is high-end, classy. I'd say it is unisex. As a woman, I bought it because I wanted something that didn't look ugly - I wanted the elegant, yet powerful look. I also wanted durable. For a guy, this would look rich, executive. It is all of these things. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the picture made it look like all the hardware was gold. It's not. It's silver. But it still looks awesome. I personally like the way they fashioned the zipper toggles- the way they fall look really expensive- just the "look" I wanted. All in all I'm very happy with this case. Good job Avenues.

Looks like a well made case, however the strap runs short, and it did not fit my 17" laptop The dimensions of my laptop are 16.64 x 11.44 x 1.02. According to the dimensions of the case, my laptop should have fit, but it did not.

This bag has been traveling with me over a decade. It fits under the airplane seat easily. I stuff it to the gills so the zipper is pushed to the limit constantly and it never fails. A better bag I will never find. My only wish is that they made one with wheels. This bag is indestructible. That is no exaggeration. It carried my 17" for several years. I got a smaller one and now there is more room to stuff it with everything else. I have purchased a replacement bag with wheels and I am so missing my avenue bag. I am going to find wheels to add my avenue bag to since it is the perfect bag to handle what punishment I deal a bag when flying. I use it as a foot rest at the airport gates while waiting. Even though it is a softball construction, it will stand upright on its own and is padded very well that I never worry about the contents being harmed. This is by far the best made bag EVER!!!!!

I've owned one of these since 2011, sat around my apartment until I became a manager / director level. And then when travel picked up with modern laptops and accessories, I dug this thing out. To agree with other reviewers, this is a steal of a bag for $46. I spilled some Amino Acid (workout drink) on it and need to learn how to clean the nice ballistic nylon.
