Seals Kayak Cockpit, Sunshine Yelllow, 1.7

The Seals 1.7 size cockpit cover perfectly fit my older Wilderness Systems Rascal 10 footer. It was a little difficult researching for the correct size since that kayak is not listed on the Seals size table, but thanks to Google search, I was able to take the chance and order the 1.7. If you have the same kayak, you won't be disappointed with this cover. Really helps to keep out bugs, leaves and dirt.

I like the materials. The shock cord for my Feathercraft Kayak was too tight to get on the combing... I made it work with a lot of muscle. I cut the cord, pulled it out and put in another cord a foot longer. Made the change in 10 minutes while watching Game of Thrones. Yeah, now it works snugly, and I don't have a hernia getting it on.

This is actually our second one - the first was for a Pygmy Coho and we bought this one for a Pygmy Pinquino (with the smaller cockpit - the same size as on our Coho). It fits perfectly and really seals the cockpit nicely against the rain while driving. On the Coho, it also has kept the mice out for several winters.

I was concerned reading reviews how difficult this would be to put on but it was easy to apply to my LLBean Calypso and Wilderness Tsunami 145.

Fits well. Very happy about the included strap. We had to stop on the highway to reattach my friend's cockpit cover that did not have a hull strap. I like the color. It's easy to do identify mine. While camping, I put the cover on after a paddle to keep critters out, but should have waited to let the cockpit dry out first, so do not trap moisture inside. It's a tight enough seal to cause mildew. I got mine opened in time and realized it could have been bad if it sat too long.

Makes a tight seal and keeps the water out. Exactly what it's supposed to do. A very well constructed product.

This is for my wife's kayak. It is an Edyline Calypso. We ordered size 1.7 which fits well. The belt that comes with it is superfluous That is to say I don't believe it will blow off a car without. Just be sure to order the correct size. We ordered a yellow one (my wife's favorite color). She is very happy with it. This was a replacement for the original which wore out.

This covers the cockpit perfectly.
