Great way to get fit and enjoy the outdoors.
I was very impressed with the glider. It was everything that I wanted and it is helping immensely with my overall fitness. I would recommend this to anyone whether they are just starting or a seasoned fitness bum. There is a learning curve on the steering but just look where you want to go and where the head goes, the body follows. This is a great purchase.

I love my street strider
There is a bit of a learning curve but it doesn’t take long. I was able to go 6 miles by the end of my second week. More importantly, I can see a change in my body! It does make sense to find a local bike shop for repairs and trouble shooting. Also, you need to watch the videos and learn about shifting gears. If you start in the lower gears it will not be a smooth ride, as the lower gears are for hills. Yes, hills are hard and I’ve had to push the bike up before but I’m certain as my strength improves so will my ability to stride up hills. It’s a great workout and fun. Just realize there is a learning curve and if your out of shape or not used to riding a bike it will take time but just keep making goals for yourself.

Good Exercise but POOR customer service
Purchased (2) 7i's for myself and wife. They are good exercise and I will continue to use them BUT, I cannot recommend a product the manufacture does not support. One unit had manufacturing issues that were evident during assembly. I submitted a support ticket via their web site, two weeks later no answer so I called them. They said they had no record of the ticket and asked me to submit one via email, which I did, and they would take care of it. Over a week later (now) still no response from them. It appears to me they have an "ignore them they will go away" philosophy. My wife and I have put about 100 miles on each of our bikes now and we like the work-out. We have learned it is VERY difficult to go up hills with these bikes. We purchased the 7i's so we could get lower gears for hill climbing since we live in a area that has lots of hills. We are in good shape (walk and ride bikes every day) but found going up even the slightest hills was very difficult. It is also difficult to go long distances. We have both done 50 mile bike rides but with these we can only go about 10 miles per trip and that is on level ground. We both needed upper body work outs and have liked that about these bikes. Were it not for the complete lack of support I would rate these higher, I sincerely hope their support department will try to improve their service.

Buyer Beware. You can buy it, but good luck returning it.
I bought the newest model, 8s because I thought it would be easier on my knees. I have osteoarthritis and do fine cycling and hiking uphill, but going downhill kills me. I rode the streetstrider twice and after 3 weeks, my knees have still not recovered. If you watch the video closely, you can see that you are constantly at a decline. This is not like the machines in the gym. Also, when it's on the trainer, the peddle motion is extremely clunky. Unlike some other reviewers, I thought it was pretty sturdy - the only positive thing I can say about it. I tried to return it, but the box it comes in is 70"x30"x23". UPS will not ship this. It has to go by freight and my quote for that was $1400. If you can use someone else's freight account, you can ship it for about $550 (Idaho to California). Then you have the 10% restock fee, and any other things like the "white glove" service and original shipping cost that will be deducted from the amount you paid. With that considered, you lose money if you try to return this, not to mention the hassle of actually arranging shipping. There is another similar outdoor elliptical bike I regret not trying - the Elliptigo. They do not charge a restock fee and they try to arrange for you to ride a demo bike before committing to purchasing. I did not see any real negative reviews on StreetStrider's website and suspect they suppress all negative reviews. Definitely not impressed with this company or their product. If you still want to consider purchasing, I strongly recommend you try to find one to demo first.

Incredibly overpriced, horrific build quality...
It's packaged well, so that's good... but once you start pulling the components out you realize that this is a complete startup... the finish? OMG. It's like some teenager was standing out behind the warehouse with frames on coat hangers with a bad body shop gun. It is NOT a professional, clear coated finish to say the least. It really looked to me like someone was starting up a business and learning how to paint. So, 'fit and finish?' No bueno. And that's an understatement. The finish doesn't look and act as if it's thick. And it surely has no protective clear coat to be sure. Then all the cheap decals? Like the ones you set the pole's height too? They literally scrape off upon installation. It's just really poor quality craftsmanship overall. It IS a good exercise once you get the hang of it, which depending on your age and aptitude may take quite a while.ABSURDLY OVERPRICED. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you don't believe me, fully read the return policy on the bike... it's 99% impossible to meet the criteria, so there's no REALY try it and if you don't like returns. Not really. And an exorbitant 'restocking' fee on top of it all.I'll sell you ours which has maybe a few miles on it for 1k. Not $1,600. First come.

StreetStrider 7i
This is a terrific product. Been using indoors through the winter, effective aerobic and weight loss tool in that mode. The weather is turning, and so far, intuitive and great fun/exercise on the open neighborhood road.

Gives an incredible work out!
I got the 8s mainly to get the extra speeds. It took me a few minutes to get the hang of it---it is unlike any other exercise. It will have you huffing and puffing quickly (and burning calories!). Yes, it's expensive but very well made and worth it. Solid. Really like that it works BOTH lower and upper body + great cardio.NOTE: strongly suggest that you get the White Glove option. There is no way I could have assembled it myself!

Fun Ride Love It
Purchase this bike last year I assembled it myself my biggest issue with the product is the support stinks. I was able to find someone local to make the minor adjustments that needed to be made that I didn’t know how to make. That being said now that I have had an opportunity to ride it I absolutely love the ride. I recommend you have them assemble the bike and find a local bicycle repair to keep it serviced
