COVERGIRLLash Blast Active Mascara, Extreme Black

I am still on a quest to find a mascara that can stay put when I am exercising. I tried this product twice and both were a disaster. At the end of my sweat sesh I had raccoon eyes both times! So disappointed.

WHEN I RECEIVED THIS IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY THE MASCARA WAS WRAPPED TIGHTLY WITH BUBBLE WRAP, ( I ASSUMED IT WAS FOR EXTRA PROTECTION) WHEN I TOOK OFF THE BUBBLE WRAP THE PLASTIC, ENCASING THE TUBE OF MASCARA WAS RIPPED OPEN CAUSE THE MASCARA FELL OUT RIGHT ONTO THE FLOOR. THERE WAS A BLACK SMUDGE ON THE TUBE AS WELL. HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY GIVE A CUSTOMER USED MASCAR WHEN CLEARLY I BOUGHT A "NEW" TUBE. ALSO, YOU'RE NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO RE-SELL USED MAKEUP AS IT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS EYE INFECTIONS AND WHAT NOT. I RECOMMEND NOT PURCHASING FROM THIS COMPANY ITS NOT SAFE OR OKAY TO SELL USED MAKEUP. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crap. Absolutely not smudge proof or long lasting. Photo is after a 12 hour work day, not sweaty or greasy even. Don’t waste your $$. The only real stay put mascara I have ever found that truly stays on is the L’Oréal beauty tubes kind. It’s takes finesse to get it right tho. Was hoping this could be a workday alternative but no

I do not know what this mascara is. It smudges and it clumps. It comes off in two hours. The wand is minuscule. It’s extremely difficult to put mascara on. Terrible. I’ve never had this brand do this before. Makes me wonder who Amazon bought it from. If it is a knock off sub standard brand

Most mascaras run on me, but this is one of the very few that don’t. I haven’t tested it in the rain or crying or anything… but it doesn’t run with the oils on my face. I’m so glad that they’re still making this. If I could change one thing it would be the brush/wand. I wish it were round all the way around like a normal wand. Other than that, it is perfect.

The mascara smudged after about two hours of ware - had black smudges above my eyes. None of the other Covergirl mascaras have done this. I was very disappointed since the ads for the product indicate you can wear it without smudging during workouts. Mine smudged when I was just going about my normal day, no workout involved.

Just isn’t the same quality as the same type/brand I buy in the store. I have always bought the exact same, so I know it’s different. Sometimes the delivery is worth the lack of quality, which is here the case, but bummed when it gets clumpy so quickly and is so testy to apply even with a new one.

Smudged terribly in humid weather, didn't seem to stick to lashes but was nearly impossible to get off my skin where it smudged or bled. Brush was tiny too... I much prefer their version in the purple tube

Very average mascara, very subtle definition and length. Did not flake. Covergirl makes some nice affordable mascaras but you can skip this one.

Not everyone is going to love this mascara - it's sort of a different formula. For me, I love it. The brush is stiff and yet nimble, allowing you to apply closely to the lashes. My favourite feature is how the formula sort of...coats your lashes in a tube-like encasing (that's how it dries). This means that it really doesn't smudge after it dries because it sort of becomes...plasticy (it's not plastic of course).This means that no, this is not the best formula to use if you want your top lashes to be fanned and fabulous. What this COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Active Mascara is perfect for is use on your BOTTOM lashes. I have been applying it every day and my bottom lashes now look like Bambi lashes. I use a more traditional formula on my top lashes. This is a game changer for me because ALL other mascaras but for this one have smudged on my bottom lashes, leaving me looking like a trash panda. No more! This is my new secret bottom-lash weapon. Pew pew

I would purchase more of this mascara when I run out. The brush has pretty wide bristles, which I usually don't like, but it seems to work well with the formula to provide good separation, coverage and definition. No clumping, and no issues with flaking during the day either. It wears very well, and holds lash curling decently as well. I even liked the very black colour, even though I usually wear brown-black. The darker shade of this formula doesn't look out of place even though I am light-haired. Good mascara!

The first thing I noticed about this mascara that had alarm bells ringing, is that it says smudge-proof and sweat proof on the back, but only resistant on the front. Which is it? It’s never a good sign when a product starts out by lying to you.Actually the mascara, it turns out, is ok, but I don’t see why anyone would buy anything else from this line, when the ‘Clump Crusher’ mascara is so darn perfect. My main dislike about Lash Blast Active mascara is that it ends up kind of spidery looking. Even when brushing my lashes apart, they seemed to stick together and give it that spidery, thick look that I’m not a fan of.It definitely makes my lashes look like they are bigger and I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable wearing it, but I would reach for Clump Crusher over this every time.I do like the short spiky brush, as it works well with my overly long, thick eyelashes, but despite this I found the formula so thick that I had trouble not getting it on my eyelids when applying. I think a slightly runnier formula would make this mascara so much better, but it’s not bad.

Got my wife to try it out. She compared it with Covergirl's clump crusher. The lash blast active has a formula that doesn't hold the curl as well. She found it to be a little heavy, as the eyelashes got straighter as she applied the lash blast. The wand is okay, but she prefers the curved shape of the clump crusher. The formula isn't too bad, other than it doesn't hold the curl very well. Not too wet. The smell is eh, the typical synthetic mascara smell. She recommends the clump crusher in comparison to this one.
