This is our second Makayama movie mount because we recently purchased an iPad Air 2 and it is a slightly different size. It too meets our needs but I was quite disappointed to discover that the sliding lense capability had been deleted. The shoe for mounting the accessory light is also barely acceptable. It is precarious. In summary: The product does its job, but considering the price, the manufacturer could have and should have delivered its customers a much better unit for a few additions cents of production cost!I do want to add that the supplied Vivitar wide angle lense is better than the one on my previous unit. It is a surprisingly good lense.Still unhappy that it cannot just be slid out of the way rather that having to be removed. A real time waster.

Not bad, but my iPad fell out once already while it was supposed to be firmly in place (!) You'll have to buy a scratch/screen protector because you cannot fit the iPad into the Makayama with a protective case. I do wish the case had side handles for better handling when not locked on a tripod. A little too expensive for the quality of this mount ($39 at the most!). The wide angle lens is useful along with the 2 hot shoes.

Ummm, not sure what to think.
The media could not be loaded. It does 'work' with the iPad Air 2 but for $70 it should be made for the Air 2. I think the biggest problem is the fact that the camera on the Air 2 is not in the same location as on the Air so you have to use a big 58mm lens instead of the nice small 37mm to avoid vingetting.

The material is not meant for protection. If your tripod falls, there's possible damage to the iPad. However, it makes your photobooth set up look more clean and professional. The hot shoe mount is a definite plus. Only downside is it only fits the particular ipad model you purchase it for.

This seems like it will do a good job
Needed a mount so I can attach an iPad to a tripod. This seems like it will do a good job, however it looks like this is a used product, rather than new. There's wear and tear along the lens casing and on spots of the mount.

Only one complaint. Making a cut-out for the power switch would have been easy, and instead you need to turn on the accessibility option or pop out the iPad to turn it off. Other than that, it is great.

Would be worthwhile at 1/4 the price.
The construction is a cheap plastic mold. It includes a middling Vivitar wide angle lens, a lens wipe, cleaning cloth and a rubber band o-ring strap. I guess the strap is to keep the thing attached to your iPad in case you add a heavier lens? No instructions. This would be all fine if the price was $20.00 but it costs $80.It's the only tripod mount I could find for the iPad2 so I won't return it... but I'd never buy it again.

Works as advertised, however, not designed for the iPad Air 2 as camera is off center.
Works as advertised. However, it does not center the lens for the iPad Air 2 as apple moved the camera. I'm waiting on the IOgrapher one for the iPad Air 2.
