The rope didn’t last a day to my dog but he loves it and he still plays with the ball. Sleeps with it and everything so I’m happy if he’s happy.

We had one Nerf tug toy that lasted for 4 months before the playing with broke it down. This one we ordered to replace did not last one hour when first part fell off then the rope covering came down and chewing started would not purchase again.

We actually own two of these Nerf Tug Toys. One in red, from Wal-Mart, and one in blue, from Amazon.It doesn't really work well for tossing (or maybe it's just my throwing arm that's the problem), but it does work well, for us, for both keep away and tug, two of Buddy's favorite games.One caution, the handle is rather small, especially on our blue one, so If you have large hands (I do not), and especially if your dog also has a large mouth (Buddy is a mix and weighs 50-ish LBS so I'd say she probably doesn't have a large mouth, but it's not small, either), this may not be the best tug toy for the two of you to share.Overall, Buddy & I both enjoy this toy, but I wish the plastic tag had not been in the football and thus nearly impossible to completely remove. I also would appreciate an otherwise identical toy on a slightly long rope.Paid $12.00, December 2013.

As much as I hate to gave the ball one star that is what it is worth as it comes. I ordered 3 of these footballs. The first one the rope came undone within the first 10 minutes of play. I tied knots in both ends of the rope and used it that way. My dog LOVED playing tug a war with the ball so I ordered 2 more. The second one had the rubber grip came off in 2 seconds but the rope stayed glued. We used it in the pool and was having great fun until my dog had the ball in his mouth and got one of his front legs caught in the loop of the rope. He was having a very hard time swimming with only one leg. luckily I was in the pool and close by so I could grab him. After that I cut both of the ropes of the 2 and 3 ball and tied knots in the ends. We now use two balls to throw and play tug a war in the yard. The original ball I glued the hole in the ball closed so it can be used in the pool otherwise it gets filled with water and sinks. My dog does love the balls but they were a danger to him the way they come. With the rope cut and knots tied in the ends it is a fun toy for him. Just be ware!!

I bought one of these Nerf toys about 5 years ago, it lasted that long, my dog loved it. Since then I bought another, sadly the rope broke apart and the rubber football is softer and my dog chewed pieces of it off within a week. Bought another, hoping it would last longer longer, however, within 3 weeks, the rope is broken and the football has pieces broken off again. It's a shame, because the one I bought years ago, my dog loved it, great toss toy for outdoors and tug toy in the house. Nerf toys should last longer then a few weeks. Hope they will make them more durable again.

I do like the quiet toys every once in a while, and this one fits the bill. Very durable, even for my heavy chewer! Great throw toy.

Not yet opened this but ordered two. One for my dog and one for next doors.They were sharing one which is a little past its best.Well worth replacing for length of time they last.
