Fixed our hot water pressure
Swamped this with an old valve which I eventually worked out was the source of our increasingly rubbish hot water pressure from the megaflo. Now fixed!

The correct part
Slightly different to the old part, but this is the replacement, needed slight pipework adjustment.

Similar to its predecessor
I cannot understand why Heatrae Sadia changed the designed of this combination valve. It means if you are swapping one out as the internal pressure spring has gone rusty (why make a steel component that is immersed in water anyway?), you will need to alter the discharge pipework. As this is regulated strictly by dimensions this can make things much more difficult than they need to be.Packaging and delivery were fine.

works a treat
good value too.

Alternative Heatrae Sadia Megaflo component
Despite the difference in the image, compared to my original part, I decided to buy it as it clearly states that this is a "Heatrae Sadia 95605869 Cold Water Combination Valve Multibloc (Megaflo/Megaflow)". So if it is the same product code it must be exactly the same product right?Wrong! In fact there is no part number that I can see on the valve and no reference to Heatrae Sadia. I feel sorry for the next guy who has to replace the valve as, unlike the original, there is nothing to tell you what it is or what the part number is.What I can tell you is that this valve set is made by Reliance Water Controls (RWC). I found the same product from a more honest seller that gives an accurate description of what you are buying..."Alternative Heatrae Sadia Megaflo component. OEM replacement for old style valve requiring some small pipe work modifications in most installations."The fact is that part number "95605869" has been discontinued and cannot be bought, so another valve set was always going to be required. As far as fitting is concerned, this part from RWC was reasonably close to the original dimensions and so I was able to fit it with a couple of modifications to the existing pipework. I cut about 10mm off the pipe on the tank side to fit the valve in. The outlet from the PRV did not line up with existing pipe so I had to heat up the soldered joints to move the pipe a bit so that it would line up correctly. As I am not G3 certified I should not really be replacing this valve but the only quote I got was for £540, which seemed too much for a simple job. There is not too much to get wrong apart from the direction of water flow, but definitely recommended to get a G3 certified plumber to do the work for you as it can be fiddly adjusting the pipework.I awarded 3 stars as it does seem to do the job and was a fairly close match, but I cannot award more as it is not made by Heatrae Sadia and is not part no. 95605869.

More compact than previous version
Slightly longer than old model due to separate isolation valve. Needed to shorten the connecting pipe by 1cm.
