PitVisit Magnetic Oil Drain Plug is built from high quality Aluminum made to last. The magnet incorporated within the drain plug will attract any unwanted metallic particles from being cylced through your engine, which could prevent serious issues. Our magnetic oil drain plug are easy to install, just replace your old drain plug during your next oil change from the wide range of sizes and colors we have to offer to fit any make and model. Please message us or speak with your mechanic if you need help determining the correct size for your vehicle. **NOTE: The bolt flange (with gasket) to tip of the magnet is roughly 22mm (0.85"). Your vehicle's oil pan will need to be able to accommodate for any added length when compared to your previous drain plug to be compatible with your system.**

Good luck fishing it out
Purchased for a 2019 Miata. Threads are a perfect fit. Magnet is not as strong as I'd like, but it did grab fine metal dust in 5k miles. At the first oil change, the magnet broke off the bolt. I had to use a magnetic telescoping tool to fish it out of the oil pan. This is the cheapest made magnetic oil plug I've ever used. Stay away from this product.

*UPDATED 7/16/19* [ORIG] Nice drain plug but crappy seal / crush washer tore and leaked.
UPDATE: KUDOS to PIT VISIT! Today, unsolicited, I received an apology letter (see second image) and a replacement drain plug which has been updated based on my original feedback. The new plug now has a higher quality crush washer that appears to match the OE crush washer in diameter and thickness. The difference from the initial plug received is noticeable and looks more like I had expected. THIS is what good service looks like. Bad things can happen to the best companies and what sets one apart from the next is how they handle it. PIT VISIT recognized the problem, corrected the issue, and replaced the failed item promptly to ensure my satisfaction as a customer of a relatively inexpensive product rather than ignoring my complaint.I will be installing the new drain plug with the new washer in 5,000 miles and guarantee there will be an update afterward.I HAVE UPDATED MY REVIEW FROM ONE STAR TO FOUR STARS TO REFLECT THE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE INCLUDING UPDATING OF THE PRODUCT ITSELF. I WILL UPDATE TO FIVE STARS AFTER A SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION.['99 Porsche 996] Item looked great in the package as expected. Opened and compared to OE drain plug and used crush washer. New plug was same diameter and threads were correct. Plug is about 1/2" "taller" with magnet protruding upward into case. But the washer is half the width of the OE crush washer. It only covers half the drain plug seat. I went ahead and used it, torqued to spec and added Mobil1. No leaks after first 4 quarts, so I continued. After adding all 8.7qts I started the engine to check oil level. In just two minutes the drain plug seal began leaking heavily. I re-torqued with 1/2 ft lb extra, but still leaking. Re-drained oil and removed oil plug to find the seal had sheared into a fine strand on one side, and twisted on itself. I placed the old OE washer onto the new magnetic plug and it fit perfectly, covering the entire seat of the plug unlike the provided washer. With no spare crush washer, I reinstalled the OLD OE crush washer and old OE plug, and...NO LEAK even with the used seal washer. This was a huge disappointment and just not worth the frustration of doing the oil change twice simply because of a .02 washer. I had torn open the package and tossed the packaging so I won't bother returning it. If you are considering this, buy yourself a replacement crush washer and check out the diameter difference before you install to save yourself frustration.

Worked great!
Replaced the factory fill plug on the 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe rear differential I was working on, the factory one had been stripped out long ago, the first 4-5 threads in the case were missing. Because this plug is a little longer it reaches a couple of the remaining threads in the case, allowing it to be (nearly) properly tightened. Mine came with it's own washer.

Aluminum Threads Stripped
This drain plug torqued on fine the first time I used it on my 07 Tacoma 4.0. But that next oil change when I went to torque it back on the threads stripped. Luckily I stopped before the whole thing sheared off, and it didn't damage the threads on my oil drain pan. They obviously used cheap aluminum. Luckily I still had my old drain plug laying around just in case.

No issues replacing a stock drain plug on a '05 S197 4.0 Mustang.
As long as you confirm this plug fit your application, it should work just fine. Requires 14mm socket and included crush washer. No leaks after installation. Just be careful when torquing, as this is made of aluminum.

Confirmed Fit for 2015 Tacoma.
Fits on my 2015 Tacoma. Installed easily with no issues. This is my first oil change using it so I'll revise it on my next oil change. The little magnet seems strong enough to pull out metal particles. So far so good. - Update on first oil change with it. Looks like it pulled out some very fine metal particles.. so it seems like it's doing its job.

Great purchase, no leaks works well.
It works well. I bought this a while for my dirt bike which is fairly abused. When I did an oil change, a good amount of shavings were on the magnet and not in the oil. I’m happy about this purchase. I also noticed less noise from my engine, probably because all that metal was circulating and lubricating my motor.

When torquing to spec, Aluminum Threads Stripped on 1st use.. Drain Plug Stuck
BEWARE. Aluminum can't be torqued to same spec as OEM Steel Drain Plugs, Seller should specify this on these drain plugs.Well.. I installed this on my Daily (2013 Corolla).. "M12 x 1.25, Red" when torquing it to the specified 30 ft-lbs, i felt it worked. But after 5k miles, I removed it and you can see in the picture.. it's magnet worked.. but it was already stripped. I tried putting it back on after draining my oil.. now it's fully stripped and STUCK in my Steel Oil pan, it just spins.. THIS SUCKS.. but Lesson Learned. The magnetic dust it picked up was minimal and was probably from its own slightly stripped threads.. so, I'm getting a proper Fumoto Valve to avoid ever stripping a drain plug all together going forward.
