Lightweight, durable & easy to install
I purchased this after shopping for months for a way to organize our garage. I especially liked that it was light weight. The old particle board slatwall is so heavy that it is difficult to handle large pieces. This was very easy to install. We got it up in just a few hours. It is very sturdy and goods terrific. I just wish hooks that fit it were more readily available. None of the local home improvement stores stock the accessories and they can be quite pricey when you order them online. Well, the shipping can be- a hook that only costs $4 can have a $16 shipping charge. If you are lucky enough to have a retail display dealer in your area you can pick up the same hooks from them that work with wooden slatwall. These work fine and are much cheaper.

Good and Bad But Work Well In The End
The installation of these panels was a mixture of good and bad experiences, but once installed they look great and function well. I ordered two 6x8 sections and unfortunately one was damaged upon receipt, however, Amazon had a replacement delivered within a couple of days. Two of three shipments arrived without screws (including the replacement unit), but I called the manufacturer who immediately shipped new screws. Most of the panels were scratched from rubbing against one another during shipping (some worse than others); however, they are sure to collect more scratches when holding all of my tools, etc., so I'm not really too worried about that (they're not really visible unless light shines on them just right either).Lastly, the screws that are provided are very easily stripped. I wouldn't call them complete garbage, but they are pretty crappy and take a lot of patience and controlled pressure to get them completely screwed in. I decided not to wait for manufacturer's replacement screws and bought some screws at Lowes to complete the job and boy am I glad I did. Save yourself some frustration and time and get some new screws...well worth the trip and additional $10.All in all the damaged unit and the missing and easily stripped screws were a hassle; but, now that the panels are installed they look great and should work well to get all of my yard tools, etc. off of the floor and out of the way. The actual installation was pretty easy and the panels go up quickly once you get the initial frame mounted level and learn the limitations of the screws. No concerns about the panels holding the advertised weight. Hung a pretty heavy ladder and couldn't see any bowing, but I did place the hook right on top of a mounting screw for the added support.

Flimsy
These panels are not what I expected. There's nothing heavy duty about them in fact they're quite flimsy. Im very dissapointed.

WARNING: Missing ALL hardware
Ordered 2 packges - both were missing hardware, which appears to be a common issue after reading more reviews. Contacting Amazon to see if they can fix this on-going issue with this product provider.

Great product, with some caveats.
I've purchased a lot of Proslat slatwall from both Amazon and Home Depot over the last year and a half, and I definitely like the product. The actual slatwall itself is great, but I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars because:1) Of the 10 boxes or so I've ordered from Amazon, one of them arrived so damaged it had to be returned and another was the wrong color.2) The packages have been very inconsistent with including mounting screw or not (about 50% had them, the others did not) .3) The mounting screw that (sometimes) come with the product are actually not very good.I've used this slatwall to finish the walls of the mud room / laundry room in my house, as well as my garage and I not only like the way it looks, but also the fact it gives me the ability to change the configuration of shelves, hooks, bins, etc. with quickly and easily. One caveat to this is not all generic slatwall accessories are compatible with Proslat because the distance between the slats on this product is wider than standard slatwall. Most baskets and bins I've used work, but you will probably need to check the compatibility for any type of accessory that connects to two slats at a time (like some hooks). As for reliability, I've never had any catastrophic failures with the slatwall so far (i.e. no tearing off the wall or anything of that nature), and I do load it up quite a bit with anything from bikes, surfboards, car tires, to telecom equipment. I was very diligent about anchoring each panel to every wall stud covered with the right type of fastener (fastener must be flat where it meets the panel, unlike most wood screws which are tapered), which will cost you about 6-8 screws per row depending on how the wall is framed. If you do buy this product, my suggestion is to have one drill to drive your fasteners in and one extra drill to make pilot holes in the mounting channel. This will save you a lot of time as opposed to trying to drive the screws straight through the plastic panel. Just make sure the screw heads are not too big or you will bend / crack / warp the edges of the mounting channel which will make it difficult the line up the next panel correctly. I think I used SPAX #8 x 2" flat, non-tapered star head screws.
