Great for sealing plastic fittings

Leaks
Not happy. I applied this sealant to a plastic Orbit landscape valve with 1 inch threaded fitting as per the instructions. It dripped at only 65 psi of water pressure. Back to Teflon tape, which is no guarantee of not leaking either. When I disassembled the fittings, the Formula 8 was literally dissolving in the water and falling apart. No hope of a seal there. Dish soap even washed it off.Decided to use TU-555 instead of Teflon tape, which claims it's for plastic fittings. It worked great. No leaks, although using it results in a more or less permanent seal since it hardens up somewhat.
