not your typical Akvavit
bought this for our mid-summer party and picked Åhus as I did a lot of research and read this was a bit more palatable than traditional Akvavit and I didn't want to scare everyone off and have to drink the whole bottle myself!It's very moreish and tastes a bit ginny, tried it with ice and tonic (sacrilege?) and it was a nice long drink too.For the price this was a great bottle, if you're looking for something firey pick a more traditional brand but it's a great intro to Akvavit :)

A slam dunk
I always keep a bottle of Aquavit in the freezer so as to take a shot when, certainly, eating Scandi food.It's also perfect for when you are ready for a drink and yet, you don't want to go through the rigmarole of mixing one.Have not tried this brand before but it's "good to go".Fascinating assembly of flavours too.
