Is there a way to rotate the display 180 degrees with software? I want to put the case upright but the power cable is in the way.
How do you rotate the touch input? Drivers installed screen in landscape but touch is 90 degrees off.
Is there a tutorial on instalation? I tried an raspbian, kali and noobs image and all i get is a white screen
Does this work on Ubuntu Mate or just Ubuntu?

Its super cheap and works well

Wow, it comes with a case and heatsinks. It was really easy to put together and the included instructions were really easy to follow to get the display working. The touchscreen works and the display is bright and good enough to use in a terminal. Note: to rotate screen, run the rotate.sh script with desired screen rotation, the rest is taken care of for you.The screen doesn't have very good view angle support, it only works well if youre looking on it straight on, but I highly doubt anyone who is making a device with a screen like this really cares about stuff like LCD view angle.

Working well after some adjustments!

The case itself is nothing to write home about. My Pi came with its own very nice case, though that's only for when I don't want to use it with the touch screen like if I'm using it as a media center for example. I wish the gold-colored heat spreader was a little shorter since it interfered with my regular case and put unnecessary stress on my Pi's board.Installing it on the board itself is a no-brainer, but installing and using the firmware was difficult for me as I'm still fairly new to Linux. The screen and touch controls were upside-down based on where I felt it was natural for them to be oriented, and troubleshooting that took me about half an hour (again, new to Linux) since I couldn't really find the commands that worked right away.I am still quite fond of this setup when using battery power. I can only seem to get it to work with Raspbian, but I will eventually figure out how to get it to work with RetroPi when I have time and get some ROMs. Quite worth the money, if you ask me!

Fantastic touchscreen for Pi!

Fantastic little touchscreen for the Raspberry Pi; I got this to use as a persistent display for a Cryptocurrency ticker and it's great. It came with a stylus for the touchscreen included so I didn't need to worry about that, and included both the touchscreen to use with the case or a cover that you can apply to the case for when you don't have the touchscreen in use, which was a thoughtful touch. No complaints, it's worked well, drivers were quick/easy to install from the website in the instructions, and displays perfectly.

Impossible to get working

So I've been fighting with this thing for 2 days now. The included instructions don't work. Using the latest Raspberry Pi OS image, I've tried the included instructions, the Elecrow software as recommended in various places, and even the Adafruit stuff even if it wasn't offered as a solution. None of it worked. From what I can gather, the dtd being provided is not supported so the device isn't functional without a working dtd.So I give up. The case is good, so there's at least that. But don't buy this for the case. There's far less expensive cases.

Works with install problems

Saw post below it would not with the latest Raspberry Pi of 64 or 32bit OS for RPi 3b+. Yes, confirmed that!Using RPI 'legacy' OS image. Then the install procedure WORKS.Then run updates and it still works. So far good resolution for such a small screen & touch use.For the most part use VNC & SSH on my desktop to control & modify it.

Very clear display

Finally got around to putting this together. It was a little tricky to get the screen driver installed, but I just followed the instructions and everything went well. It is a very clear display the game system I built with it made a nice gift.

Easy to install

I found this touch screen to be generally very easy to install and the price was appropriate. The physical assembly was straightforward with one exception that the instructions for the corner standoff strain relief did not exactly match the hardware I received. The software was pretty easy to set up too. I tried installing their pre-packaged images as well as pulling the driver installation from git onto Raspbian. They all worked flawlessly. I do wish it was easier to find the electrical pinout and the make/model of the LCD screen so that I would know what pins are available for other purposes.

great value, but you may want to add a fan if it didn't ship with one

Pros:+ great display, outstanding value for the $$+ installed right onto my Pi 3Cons+ they ship different versions! e.g. mine came without a fan, though the screen has a 2-pin receptacle for a fan. You can order "JST-PH 2.0" male connector if you need one to allow installing your own fan+ polarity (red/black) on the fan receptacle is reversed+ the supplied instructions didn't match the display sent -- e.g. I needed a different driver version (LCD35-show instead of MHS35-show). Your download will pull about 20 different versions of drivers, just find the right one.+ also the spacer post installation was different from how described, and required removing a plastic sticker.+ with the supplied case increases CPU temp about 10C, to 50C. Not the end of the world frankly.+ despite the dedicated "Fan" receptacle, no apparent way to control fan speed+ no way to control screen brightnessCPU Temperature control:My temperature (under light load .. just running pihole and PADD) increased from ~40C to 50C. There just is no ventilation with this screen installed. Suggestions:1. drill lots of vent holes around the side of the case2. install a fan. if you can squeeze one inside the case (probably a 30x30x10mm) then let us know how that went. However I installed a Noctua 40x40x10 5V on the outside -- bottom side of the case, even though the CPU is on the topside of the motherboard. See photo (including the polarity reversal on the connectors). This brought my CPU temp down to 38C, even cooler than it was before I switched cases to use this display.
