Beautiful Medical Light
Having used this light I can tell that it is an excellent choice for someone who is looking for a mecial light or even and everyday light. The light is not too harsh and can be stepped down so that you can use it medically to look into the patients eyes. Further to this the light is not too bright when set low so you can clearly look into small spaces like in ears or into people's mouths. This torch also doubles up as an everyday cwrry as its beautifully made and very durable. You can set the torch to 200 lumens with cree or 145 lumens with Nichia which is super bright for everyday use. Personally I would choose Nichia if you intend to use this as a medical tool as the light is clearer for colours and less harsh on eyes. If you are looking for an alternative to the horrible hospital medical lights then this is the one for you. It is beautifully made and comes in a lovely presentation box so it would make an excellent gift for student doctors, nurses paramedics and EMTs. I highly reccomend this torch for anyone looking for an everyday carry torch or if you often use medical torches or work in a hospital environment.

Great torch
Great torch for nightshift on the ambulance. Can light up a room if high beam bounced off wall or ceiling. The led colour is very natural, which is great for examining wounds, etc. The beam width is enough to see up dark driveways. Not too sure about the pupil check brightness, think it is too dim for a reaction, so i take the issue pupil light out too, which is a pity. Also the button can be easy pressed in a pocket accidentally. But handy wee torch that fits in your pen pocket.

Nice light, fits in my pocket like a pen
This is a cute little light, it fits in my pocket and is only a little bigger than a pen and it has a strong pocket clip.It has a warm white tint which I love and is perfect for using in small spaces at work.It has 3 modes on it which are low, medium and high and the quality of the light overall is very good and it feels very nice to hold.It takes 2 x AAA batteries which don't come with the light but can easily be bought cheap from almost anywhere so this wasn't an issue for me.I like this light a lot and will use it daily at home and at work. The warm white colour is very nice and sets it apart from some of the other torches I've seen which are usually cool white.

Great quality, no nonsense LED torch
I bought this for a specific reason as I needed daylight balanced light. Its consistent, well made, and perfect for my use (photography). The bright setting is great as a torch for times when you need a lot of light. The mid setting is perfect for everyday use. The low light is very low, intended for testing for pupil response in patients so not of use for much else, but handy to have I guess. The (metal) on/off button toggles between the settings, and allows a partial press to change them without having to switch off. Comes with a silicone diffuser that friction fits over the lens, which is very effective.Personally I couldn't be happier and recommend this product.

Fantastic torch for the price!
I must say for £17 it really isn't bad at all. It has 3 settings (moonlight 1.5lm, normal 25lm and "turbo" mode at 125lm). It uses 2x AAA battery to power it and is roughly the length of a normal biro pen but slightly thicker to accommodate the AAA batteries. The on off button is on the rear and simply clicks on and off with every push, every time the torch is switched on it switches through one of the power modes so multiple clicks are required until you get your desired setting.Construction seems solid, it's very light without batteries, but then obviously the batteries add the most weight. It comes with a translucent GITD rubber cap you can put on the end which dissipates the light so it can be used for shining into someone's mouth (hence the "medical" torch) which actually works really really well! My only gripe is the light itself. It seems to suffer from quite a bad hotspot in the middle. The splash isnt too bad but it's quite weak because of the hotspot in the middle. Lumintop even send 2 spare orings incase any of them break or deteriorate which is awesome.Overall, im happy with this torch and would reccomend them, if you're not too fussed about the hotspot in the middle it's a fantastic and solid torch :)

Excellent little LED light.
This is an exceptionally well-made little LED light, running on a pair of AAA cells (ONLY use the Energizer Lithium batteries in anything you don't wish to be destroyed by leaking electrolyte - as explained elsewhere on this channel...), and well-packaged in a box, with spare O-ring seals. These will be lost and the box will be repurposed for something else, but the light will live in a pouch or pocket and looks like it'll last a long time.

False advertising !!
I am giving this torch a 1 star review not because it's bad (it is a fantastic, well built little torch for the money)But because of the lie and false advertising going on in the add. In the add it states clearly that it uses the nichia led however you seem to be using the cree xpg interchangeably in its place. Now the xpg is still a good emitter don't get me wrong however it is not interchangable with the nichia offered as the physical reason you chose that emitter is because of its high cri rating that the xpg cannot compare to.On a side note: it seems like the reflector is chrome painted and not actually polished.I understand this is most likely a cost saving measure however this makes me question the long term effectivness of the product. Conclusion: great torch, false advertising that will see to getting an inferior led.

Recommended...
I recommend this light to all the nurses I work with. Let them know it comes in black, too. Just be sure to get the Nichia emitter.By far my favorite penlight, especially for medical work. Low is very low and can check pupillary response without blinding, can get pretty bright when you need it, Nichia emitter has beautiful warm color and great rendering.Actually gave mine to a coworker (an excuse to get it in black sometime, I got an accidental theme going of black and orange)Reaching hard for complaints:1) The switch feels kinda squishy. Probably related to the waterproofing. Likely can't be helped.2) I think it'd look nicer if the clip and switch matched the gold-ish color of the little ring on it.

A fine product
About a hundred years ago pink was a boy's color. Men also of course. This pink is a Dusty Rose, so -15 Saturation, +7 Blue, +4 Green, +3 Black, +15 White, +70 Red. Add an articulated grain filter (fine) and satin finish, it's smooth but not slippery. I like the glow-in-the-dark ring inside the bezel and gold trim rings but I'm not super-in-love with the flaccid tail switch, the spring is so soft it wiggles around and offers no feedback when changing levels. And it goes low, high, medium, low...I do love the Nichia warm hug on medium - perfect around the house at night or in the car.Bonus GITD diffusion lantern cap.

Attractive and functional
Liked the appearance and the bright light. Convenient to carry but longer than needed.

Beautiful light... literally.
I own both the Cree and Nichia version of this light. I was impressed to see the difference between them. This light is definitely more color accurate and my wife loves the pink color. These lights are great for everyday use. Bright enough to use in small places and very well constructed.
