I just ordered our third belt. My husband has one for "dress" and one for "work." He wore out the first "work" one which is why I just ordered another one. However, I want to stress that it took him three years of hard use (he's in construction) to wear out the first one!The belts themselves are definitely something to rave about, and so is the box they come in - looks like something from Tiffany's! A super gift for any man in your life!

I really like this belt a lot, had 2 of them for a couple of years and they work and fit great with no complaints. I do wish that I could buy just the belt itself without the buckle to replace them when they get worn out though.

I have been gaining weight on and off I’m a big guy I buy a belt and it good for a while then I need to buy another belt because I purchased the largest size I could find and the holes are stretched and the belt looks bad. This belt is great once you get used to the ratchet it’s the best belt I have had.

I loved this belt when I got it. It was sleek, easy to size, and the ratchet system worked flawlessly. It appeared to be very high quality and looked nicer than any belt I had ever owned. However, when I was in the restroom at work yesterday, I noticed in the mirror that the buckle looked kind of lopsided. I fidgeted with it a bit, but didn't think much of it and continued my day. That evening when I got home and changed, I noticed a major issue. As I was removing the belt, the buckle felt very loose. I checked to see if the clasp had somehow come open and the trimmed end was coming out, but that wasn't where the problem was. The main body of the buckle is attached to the clasp/teeth portion via a pin system. The pin had broken on one side, leaving the buckle very loose and ready to fall apart. By the time I pulled the belt out of my pants, the buckle had completely fallen off. Of course this happened Just a little over a week after the return window had closed. Very disappointed. I will reach out to the seller and see if they will remedy the situation. If they do and a replacement is given, I will try it out for a while and perhaps update my review. I really loved this belt while it lasted and this is so disappointing.UPDATE - After contacting the company and them seeing my review/ problem, they immediately sent me a replacement belt. Their service was phenomenal and I was very impressed with how quickly they took action to remedy the situation. I have been out of town for the holidays and have not tried the new belt yet. Once I have worn it for a month (the same time I had the original), I will further update. I'm only increasing my rating by one star for now until I see how well the new belt works out. However, you might consider it a "2.5 star" rating because their service was so friendly and professional.2nd UPDATE - After receiving the replacement belt, I wore it for a couple of months and things have been better this time around. However, the belt is still not flawless. Like most ratchet belts, the teeth start to stretch the leather after a while and you have to trim a little bit more off each time this happens. That said, they will eventually get to the point where you can't trim any more. That's the nature of the belt, though, and not the company's fault. The pin that broke on the original belt seems to be holding up much better, and I imagine that I will get lots of use out of this belt. It looks stunning and I receive compliments on it regularly. At the end of the day, it's a great belt. Not perfect, but a great deal for the price. Just remember to leave more length than you need at the trimmed end because you will likely have to re-trim it as the teeth start to tear away and stretch the leather. That's just how ratchet belts work.

I really like these belts, since I can adjust them easily as I go about my day. (People of girth know that belts aren’t designed for our bodies, given how variable the circumference is depending on where exactly your pants are pulled to.) One warning: the buckle is designed to dig into the leather with these sharp “teeth,” and eventually these will wear the belt out at the point of contact. At that point, the only thing to do is cut a half inch or so off. (These are sold very long, and then you cut it size.) So leave yourself room to make a few cuts later if you want to extend the life of the belt.

New review entry, January, 2019:I changed the 3 stars to 5. The folks at Mio Marino responded very quickly to my complaint about the belts little lever that got jammed when I tried to release it. They sent me another belt within about a week or so even though I didn't ask for one, they just sent it -which is very great! I'll repeat again what I said in my first review and that is that their service is excellent -above and beyond. The new belt they sent to me looks the same but is a slightly different design in how the release lever works and I love it. It's a great belt and it works perfectly. If I ever buy another belt, and I probably will, I will go through Mio Marino and would recommend them to anyone who's interested in getting a high quality belt for a good price. A really great belt and no better service anywhere!First review December, 2018:The delivery and service of this belt by Amazon Seller -Mio Marino Avenue was really great. Above and beyond.However, (don't you just hate "however"s?)...I gotta say this is the first ratchet belt I've ever used so I don't have any previous experience on how to judge this one. When putting it on and snugging it up I went a little too tight on first try. Apparently with this belt -and maybe all ratchet belts for all I know, the little release lever would not work, no matter how hard I tried to push it up, it was NOT letting go. I ended up using a flat head screw driver to release the toothed section holding the belt into the buckle. Do all ratchet belts become unable to release when pulled too tight? I dunno. But this one did. As long as I don't pull it too snug, it works fine. Seems to me though, that it should release how ever tight you may pull it. The little release lever that holds against the ratcheted ribs seems to dig in too deep when there is excessive pressure on it and it then just gets stuck there and won't let go. For a minute or two it's a little bit of a freaky feeling. This belt is stuck and it ain't coming off! Otherwise, like I said, the service was great and the belt is beautiful to see but I'd advise you to be careful not to pull it too tight or you may be in a predicament when it comes time to take it off or unbuckle it.Anyway, that's why I gave it 3 stars -not because of the service. The service was great. The belt needs modified in some ways to make it not a potential problem for removing.

I paid full price and got nothing for this review. I am really impressed with this product, for starters I got an email from the company asking me to get in contact with them if I was unhappy with the product, before it even arrived. Then on opening the amazon box I was again impressed with the packaging. The ratchet system works well and the quality of the leather seems good, I haven't worn it yet so time will tell if it holds up. There is a card explaining how the belt works and how to cut it, they even offer to replace the belt free of charge if you cut it too short. Impressed again. My mind was made, this is where I will be buying my belts going forward. Loyal follower + 1.

I've had a similar belt before, but the build quality was terrible and yet it cost more than this belt. I'm two weeks into wearing this and its showing no signs of fraying of chipping on the buckle. It's really comfortable and it looks expensive. It's now my only belt!

I really loved this belt. It's a very good quality belt, with an amazingly comfortable and practical design. I totally recommend it and I truly think that after wearing them it's going to be difficult to use other belts. I will definitely buy other belts from Marino in the future.

Excellent belt at very competitive price. This belt is light years ahead of whats available in high street stores. It comes full length but with clear instructions on how to cut (ordinary scissors) and then attache the buckle. Don't hesitate buy!
