The easiest book repair tape that I've ever used
I curate a library of Maritime History/ Original Ship Modeling books. Many of these books a have been and shall continue to be acquired from private collections. Many of them are in pristine condition, but others are well used and in danger of being lost to posterity. This is where my hard-earned skills in preservation and conservation of books comes in. I have used several types of contemporary tape, with varying degrees of success. Some tape is difficult to shape properly, adhere with smooth completion. I discovered Bookgard tape in a US Navy preservation shop, and was immediately taken with it. Smooth application, easy to manipulate, and lasts! I recommend it to every museum and curator I work with.

Works great, just take your time and measure carefully
Works exactly as intended. If you can use a ruler and scissors, you can use this product! Just make sure you take your time and measure/cut/place it carefully - once you attach it, it isn't coming off (without damaging things more.)

Stop using packing tape and use THIS to fix books!
I will never use clear packing tape to repair a book again. This BookGuard tape is so easy to use to repair spines, binding, and pages, I wish I'd found out about it sooner. Great buy! (Also, love the made in the USA aspect!)

Can be used to repair Dice Throne board
We had a rather excited kid playing with one of our Dice Throne boards. He was picking up the board by the edge and it started to tear at a seam.I found this clear flexi book repair tape and with a care application… the board is strong again! Highly recommend.

Flexibility and Strength
Adhesion - 5 starsEasy to use - 5 starsSheerness - 5 starsThis product was very flexible, easy to put in place and sheer enough to read through. The adhesion becomes tighter as it cures. Perfect!

Perfect for tattered volume spines
Gotten to rescue a too battered hardback favorite. Perfect; saved the spine and, along w/other mending, made it readable w/o having to sort bits to do so. Also worked well for mending/reinforcing paperback spines. Intend to order a wider version for use as well.

It did the job well! Please make a matte version!
It fixed the book nicely and I'm very happy with it. Not as stretchy as I thought it would have been but it certainly did the job well. A matte version would have been better for the book I was working on. This tape has a high gloss finish to it, so better for glossy, shiny covered books. It's very durable and has a nice, smooth feel to it. It sticks very well and once set, it even adhered alright to a fabric covered book. I have used it to fix veneer banding of the face of a shelf that was peeling off at the corners. I can see this durable tape having many other uses too.

Perfect for fixing children's lift the flap books
Our toddler loves his books and many of them are showing signs of wear and tear, with flaps coming off, pop-up bits coming apart and spines disintegrating. We bought a roll of this and have found it to be perfect for breathing life back into his much loved books. So far the fixed books seems to be standing up well to further toddler attentions.Far superior to our previous efforts to fix with sellotape.

Suitable product for purpose
Repairing books but I thought the tape would be non-acidic adhesive paper

Library quality!
As a bibliophile with a young child, I find myself fixing books pretty often. I’ve tried clear packing tape but it has a tendency to rip and longer term get brittle so I tried this stuff. I’ve also used linen hinge tape which is great but not transparent for fixing pages and picture books. This is like the tape libraries use to reinforce bindings and tape on book numbers! Very strong, but still flexible. Working great for torn pages, spines and board books that ripped at the binding. Great for preserving and restoring your (or your tot’s) favorite books!
