The packaged arrived and was the correct size. They were well packaged and it was professionally done. These, all of HEM products are just the best quality, always. I have had to test many of there scents before making bulk purchases. Because scents are personal, and even depend on the mood you are in at the moment, I will do my best to describe to you how these smell.The box was filled with six individual tubes, each one professionally packaged, sealed and labeled. I mention this because if you retail these, they are already packaged if you wanted to do that. The octagon shaped tubes are filled with bags that are filled with 20 incense sticks. The bags are protected by another tube, this is to protect the quality of the incense, and are slid inside the octagon outer cartons.They are very attractive from the outside.The sticks, of slightly different size, as all incense sticks are, are in near perfect condition. They are scented with organic scents very nicely and can be smelled right away when removed. When lit, the light very quickly and in a 30 seconds, ready to be blown out and allowed to smoke. The fruit scent is strong and sweet, it has the perfect blend of scents and creates a pleasing aroma in the air that is calming and refreshing.You can always expect to get great quality when you buy HEM products, I have been bulk buying them for some time now and the last box is as good as the first box I bought years ago. I am rating this product on the SMELL ONLY, not the quality. I really like this brand of incense-decent quality and burns quite nicely compared to others I have tried. I thought I would try the HEM orange vanilla without actually smelling it because of the good reviews. I thought a nice citrus orange would be good for my kitchen, especially after cooking garlic, onions, etc. This orange vanilla does not smell like orange at all, maybe a very very slight hint of vanilla... I don't like the smell at all. Some kind of 'sweet earthy like' smell- I just can't tell on this one. Actually made me nauseous. My husband and boys hate the scent. It is hard to choose any kind of scent without actually smelling it. Everyone's taste and descriptions are different. If you are looking for an orange scented incense, this is not it. Just my opinion. I wish that HEM would offer smaller sampler sizes to try (instead of a whole single box of 20 , or even a scratch 'n sniff type of card. It is such a waste to get their whole sampler batch... especially when they offer certain scents in their sampler batch that you know you won't like..It is a waste in my opinion. I do really like this brand a lot, just not this scent. My absolute favorite is the HEM-(plain) Cinnamon. Smells very pleasant, earthy with a very slight hint of cinnamon. It does not smell like a cinnamon stick, if that is what you are looking for. I actually use their cinnamon all through the house. It is not overpowering but enough to mask any unpleasant odors like stinky food--or a wet stinky dog...

As another reviewer stated, it smells better when you burn it. It smells alright in the box, but better when it's lit. I did notice however, that it has more of an orange scent than vanilla. Odd, seeing as how it's called "Vanilla-Orange". You would think with that title, it would have more of a vanilla scent, and the orange would be more like an 'undertone'. I guess they should name it "Orange-Vanilla". Oh, well. That's just a minor quibble. The vanilla seems to 'mellow it out' so it's not too strong. If you're a fan of orange scents that smell like orange, without being too strong, you'll like this. All in all, it smells very nice, and a scent I would recommend, as well as re-order!

Hem is my favourite incense to burn I currently have over 200 sticks stored away in my house because I love experimenting. I ordered these out of curiosity and a strange citrus fad and while they smell very nice and burn well they don't smell very orange? They smell more like vanilla than anything. Which is still nice, I was just hoping for more orange than anything.

Burn pretty slowly. Scent is lovely but may become overwhelming if burned in a small room. Problem is easily solved: open a window or door. Love that it has a stronger scent than my candles and is much cheaper. I live in an old apartment building and you can get some odd smells. All I need to do is burn one of these sticks and I can no longer smell the old smells.
