As advertised
These are great the reason I love these versus the rugged ridge is because they cover the bottom lip in the door jam the other ones do not and that lip gets all scratched and looks like crap what’s the sense in having a jam protector if the jam still gets damaged

Almost perfect way to protect the edges of your door sills
These are decent, well made, fit nicely, etc. When they stick, they protect the edges of the sill like they are intended. The issue is, the back side (mounting side) isso smooth, and slick, that the tape will not stay stuck to the pieces. The directions suggesting "rough up the finish" for them to stick to your sills. The issue is, the protectors need to be roughed. Not your jeep.Mine stayed attached until the first time i got out of the jeep. My pants cuff caught the corner, and it popped right off. No biggie, it also stuck right back on. After a dozen times of this happening, I ripped the tape off my jeep, and put on clear double sided Gorilla tape. After a couple of days the thing popped off again. It also stuck right back on, so I dealt with it. (the tape was firmly stuck to the jeep again)So finally I decided to use the only option left. I attacked the trip plate with some 40 grit sandpaper. After removing all of the gloss and smooth surface from inside trim plate, I wiped it down with brake cleaner, and went with heavy duty black Gorilla double sided tape (available from amazon) as seen in the pics, I marked the outline of the sill with a sharpie (also available from amazon) I applied full length piece of tape to catch the top, and bottom edges of the trim, and i used the remainder of the tape in the center. (Only 60" on a roll)I reapplied the trim plate, and letting it sit overnight, (after rubbing it tightly into place on initial mounting) I tried a corner of the plate with my hand, to see if i could remove it. I COULDN'T!!! great success!!! The original tape may have worked, if the sill protectors werent so smooth and shiny that nothing would stick to them. For this reason I only gave this 4 stars. These could have/should have been prepared when manufactured, to allow the tape to stick in the first place.

Need to sand the side that holds the double sided tape
Pull off the double sided tape (easily just falls off) then need to sand the shiny plastic and restick the tape. Sucks to have to do these steps but otherwise it’s going to fall right off like others have said

Don’t wait..
This is something you don’t know you need until it’s too late and your paint starts rubbing off. Get em asap! These are super thick and the adhesive is strong! I can’t even wiggle them around now that they’re stuck on. Highly recommend
