These work very well. I bought them for an art class with 6th graders. This class is in a temp building without running water. It is a pain to use water color paints without the ability to change the water frequently and to clean up. These were perfect. Only a small amount of water was needed. When I did the lesson, there were no paint brushes to be found, so I used q-tips. It still worked quite well to blend, but several were needed since you can't clean them like a brush. They blend quite well with water, and when used on wet paper the colors are very bold. I was even able to use a wet brush on the pencil itself to pull color to paint directly. (be careful not to draw again after doing that because the tip will be very soft and can break) I loved using these and highly recommend them.

I am pleased with these pencils. This is a very good value item. I love the prime shipping it is quick and saves me a great deal of postage over a years time, besides be so quick. I like the Crayola colours ( that we all grew up using). They are so vivid and with the watercolor aspect I can mix and change the original color to so many different shades. I am mentoring a group of young ladies and I am hoping that the coloring books will help them to have less "stress" and I hope they will enjoy this hobby as much as I do.

Amazing price. We use these for drawing temporary tattoos on the children and they are hard to find. Box looks different from the picture but is better for holding this large quantity. There are 12 different colors and most places sell a set of 12 for about 5 dollars. I got these for about 35 dollars which comes out to less than $2 a set.

I purchased the teachers pack so I could have the quantity I needed for a class I was teaching. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but I needed them to be good so that the students (adults) were pleased with the project and tools I gave them. These Crayola Watercolor Pencils were GREAT. We could color the bird and then brush with a slightly damp brush and voila! it was painted! We also painted the bird first with water and then added the color with the pencils with equally good results. When we sprayed the birds with a gloss varnish the colors really popped and the project was a huge success.

I teach art to elementary students, I use a traveling art cart which means the lessons take place in the classroom and each lesson needs to be completed in one 40 minute period, storage of projects in progress are not an option, this makes using paint a challenge! These pencils have changed that! I soak a sponge with water that the students use to dampen their brush with, with no access to water in the classrooms this makes a great mess free option! They will create miniature landscape paintings on artist trading cards all while learning about foreground, middle ground, background and brush blending techniques. This is the best traveling art class purchase I have made thus far!!!

I don't usually give a review so quickly after purchasing an item because I believe time can tell a different story.I however cannot resist coming to say how good these Crayola Watercolor Pencil Crayons are. I opened them the same day as I wanted my kids to try them and see how they work before taking them to my classroom.It has not disappointed. My kids have enjoyed using them everyday since and they seem very durable.The only negative about them that I can find noteworthy is that to get a deep color you have to ensure the area is deeply 'colored' by the pencil color before putting the water on it.Also, depending on what you are using it for, try not to add too much water as it will 'run' and can cause your 'work of art' to become messy.I have used with ages ranging from 3 years to 8 year old and they are all excited and satisfied. An 8yr old commented that she prefers using it to regular painting when her smaller siblings are around because they can't interfere with her paint colors and mix them.I also got this on sale during a "Deal of Day" sale which caused me to pay half price for the entire box. Now I have so much the students in my class will be happy they can each have "their own" set of 'painting pencils' as they like to call them.

Great purchase, got them on sale! My 2 and 4 year old choose these watercolors daily for free art. We use a small amount of water and tiny brushes and they are really enjoying painting. My 2 year old understands the concept after some experimenting and my 4 year old always has a full colorful page usually LOTS of RED. The classpack is great for my own children and daycare use. Each child gets their own tray of 12 colors so they don't have to share and I can replace the RED PENCIL as needed lol. This set will last me a long time and we love them. I put colored pencil grips on each set of twelve so my kids can keep them organized for clean up and stop them from rolling of the table and breaking the lead.
