Kinesiotape in pediatrics
I use kinesiotape in my physical therapy clinic where I work with infants and toddler motor skills. I have used it to help stabilize joints and/or to improve alignment. If it works on a child, the child will not only ask for it but, will also INSIST that I apply kinesiotape. Some of my patients have only one word utterances; they quickly learn the word "Tape!"The downside is that, like a bandaid, it is uncomfortable to remove. However, despite this, the little ones want me to reapply it at the next visit.Using a combination of colors turns it into a Fashion Statement

Super supportive, pain relieving, easy to use: Excellent product
I have rheumatoid arthritis--a progressive disease involving chronic joint pain (among a hundred other things). About 6 months ago, my left thumb began its classic RA migration toward what's known in rheumatology as the "Z-deformity"--and the pain in that thumb started ticking up and up and up.I began looking for the lowest profile thumb brace I could find, as I still need use of my thumb during waking hours. I couldn't find anything that fit the bill. Then, purely by chance, I came across this sports tape, and decided to give it a try.No kidding, it's better at protecting my thumb, reducing pain and stabilizing the base than any bulky Velcro & neoprene device I've used (and yes, I have dozens of them). It's super stretchy--which is the key to proper support--and I've had no trouble making it stick. I did buy a can of spray adhesive just in case--stuff made for this very purpose (and sold here on Amazon) but honestly I haven't needed to use it.The best thing about it is that I can do everything with a taped-up thumb that I can do without tape--except that I can do it with a heck of a lot less pain. This was my whole objective, so my problem is solved. Recommended.

it acts more like a wrap or brace for my elbow without the ...
I have constant soreness on my neck, shoulder and elbow due to work and old injuries. I start using it to wrap my elbow and when i go to the gym. I notice it did alleviate some pain for me. If anything , it acts more like a wrap or brace for my elbow without the bulkiness underneath your long sleeve article of clothing like the regular elbow brace.Updates: Side note: This is a cloth like material, more like the one you use to wrap your hand when you do boxing, I would not say it is the "typical" kinesiology tape I'm used for sports or/ and running. But product itself does indicate it is cloth material tape in the fine print. I just didn't pay attention to it. And I notice tonight that I start getting an reaction maybe I leave it on way too long today (4hr+) & just own my sensitive skin.

"MEH"
I've used several brands of this type tape and had good results with the "branded" ones and some non-brands. This tape was very unforgiving when preparing to apply, when creating the anchor pieces of each end, one slip and tape is stuck together forever. Unfortunately this was the only time I felt this tape had "sticking" power. Each time I applied the tape, after appropriately preparing skin as directed, it would only stay in place a few hours, then it began the slow creep of pulling from the skin, and forget about showering with tape on, unless you can protect from the water, as mine was pretty much off by the time shower was over, had to remove the rest and replace. I'm a little sad that I bought 2 rolls.

Good product that works well
Good product that works well. Helped during pregnancy a great deal. Hurts like hell to remove! Tip: take it off in the shower. The water helps remove the adhesive and will help stifle your screams.

Non-irritating and effective, but difficult to remove
I know some customers have mentioned problems with irritation when using this tape, but so far this is the only kinesio tape I have found which doesn't irritate my skin. Most tapes create an unfortunate trade-off for me between getting the benefit of the tape and my skin ending up a red, irritated mess so that I can't wear it for long. My physical therapist researched this tape since I react to most standard adhesives. The tape is easy to apply and can be worn while showering, although it takes a while to dry and it's pretty uncomfortable while it is wet. This means it can be worn for multiple days, until the adhesive finally comes loose and starts to curl up at the edges. The only real down side is that it's difficult to remove and if the adhesive hasn't started coming off on its own it can hurt.

Great product, look online for application tips and tricks. Highly recommend.
I am 34 and played so many sports growing up; however, I had never used KT tape before. When I recently developed Posterior Tibial Tendonitis I found some reviews of KT tape online and decided to try it. I cannot believe the difference it makes. It is just tape... But it helps support my arch and helped relieve the pain caused by my fallen arches. I recommend this to anyone with any muscle or tendon pain. Some reviews state it ripped their skin off. I took a warm bath and slowly worked the tape off and had no issues at all. It stays on for about 3 days even with 2 showers a day.
