I was nervous switching to a cork mat for sweaty hot yoga. I wondered how it would clean, would it be gross, would it be slippy. But I was amazed how easy it was to clean. This mat's magic, my puddle of sweat cleans up easily. The cork mat was less slippery than the yoga towel I'd been using on my regular mat. Yes, it's noticably heavier and not as cushy as my standard mat, but it's weight/slimness doesn't outweigh its' positives. The only thing that's bothering me is the rubber mat smell. I was hoping the scent would subside, but it's been a few months and the rubber smell still bothers my sensitive nose. I am a "super smeller" so maybe it won't bother the average smeller...and I'm still using it (unless I'm doing restorative yoga, with my nose constantly close to the ground), so I guess it's not that big of a deal. Does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of the rubber smell?

I started doing yoga a couple of months ago with a different mat. I thought I was really bad at it, but now know I was mostly being too cautious. I was afraid I would be injured because my hands and feet slipped constantly. So began my search for a non-slip mat. I found this eco-friendly one with good reviews and took a chance.While I wouldn't say I'm great at yoga now, I'm actually much better than I thought because I can hold a pose thanks to the grip on this mat. My feet and hands both feel very secure in downward dog, plank, and all lunges so far. I can focus more on form, no longer laying down towels, which also slip. Overall, I'm very happy with this mat.

This yoga asana mat is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. In addition to being eco-friendly, it is comfortable, provides a secure grip when doing downward dog, the surface feels soft and silk-like, and it is beautiful with the sacred geometry. It also appears to be well constructed but is a bit heavier than some mats, so those taking their mat to a yoga studio might keep this in mind. If I were still traveling to India I would consider buying another lighter Jade mat.I bought this mat in large part so I could enjoy Sun Salutations outside, weather permitting, This fantastic exercise/pranayama is even more joyful when the arms are raised to the sky with the body open to the health-enhancing rays of the rising sun.I appreciate Seeka Yoga’s commitment to the environment and hope that yoga companies generally will rapidly expand so as to create a healthier, more energetic, and more peaceful world.

This yoga mat has really improved my hot yoga practice! I don’t have to worry about slipping and sliding or that hot yoga mat smell. Plus the design is beautiful!

So, I am truly surprised by my experience with this mat. It seems durable and looks pretty nice (although the moon phases design is not as solid as the fractal design). However, I read many reviews touting how non-slip this mat is and, sadly, my husband and I have had the opposite experience. This mat is very slippery and is only grippy when damp. We have to spray it with water before using just to stay securely in down dog. We wanted to love these, but unfortunately we really regret our purchases. They are also heavy and thin compared to other mats we’ve had, which we expected from the other reviews, but we thought the quality of the mat would offset those cons. Sadly, it does not. We would return them, but we didn’t take them out to use them for the first time until after the return period had closed. I can only hope they wear out fast and we need to replace them sooner than later. I will not be purchasing these mats again. The two stars are for the seemingly good durability (time will tell) and look of the mats. Otherwise they are a burden.

First off, I have purchased about 5 or 6 20-30$ mats over 10 or so years and have always had issues with my hands slipping in downward dog. Finally decided to splurge a bit and gave this cork mat a try. Glad I did as it is worth every penny. I've never not had my hands slide in DWD and those days are over. It is wonderful.I will say this mat is a bit thin and on the heavy side. That said, the design and use in my yoga practice out weighs the negative.Had this mat for about 4 weeks now so I can't speak for longevity, but it rolls and unrolls (flattens) nicely. Highly recommend!

Love this yoga mat. Graphics help me keep alignment in poses. It does not hold odors. Easy to clean and roll. Lightweight and fits in my yoga bag. Highly recommend. I have had many compliments concerning the beauty of this mat.

I love my Vegan yoga mat! When I do cardio workouts, the mat does not slip. I love that it does not have a toxic smell and it is vegan. i am also vegan. i would buy again!
