Green Wash Ltd TFA Dostmann 230V Gallery Weather Station

I thought I would update this review since we've had the device a while now. It is easily worth its 5 stars, whatever others have written. I'm so surprised when I read the negative reviews. It isn't a badly made device at all and the display is superb. The product only works well, though, when attached to the ns adapter. On battery power, the display is auto-dimmed to conserve batteries. It is a wonderful weather station - a bit larger than we expected but so clear and informative, and accurate. We really like it!Original review:We bought this to replace a ClimeMET weather centre which we hadn't realised until recently was reading inaccurately. We'd bought a ClimeMET also for my son and daughter-in-law, which was yet more inaccurate than ours (2-3 degrees high, ours was 1-2 degrees high). Anyway, we saw one of these on an Amazon deal and thought we'd give it a go. Well... it is in a different league completely. Yes it is (when not a Warehouse Return) more expensive, but, goodness, it looks it, too. The display is larger, less cluttered and in beautiful full colour. The screen is very sharp, also, thus making the readings so easy to make even from a distance across the room. It's quite large, though, in comparison, but we've got used to this - after all, there has to be room for the beautiful display.In terms of accuracy, well, so far, after a settling in period of about half an hour, it is spot on, as checked against a known accurate thermometer and barometer. The setting up was also far easier than the ClimeMET which was always a bit of a hassle. So, far, in every way, we are pleased with this - very pleased indeed.

A real shame that the quality of this item is so poor. You can't read the screen unless you're on top of it and it just feels poorly made. Oh, it also came to my UK address with a European plug on it.

I found this most interesting I was particularly concerned to know the outside temperature which this supplied the only downside was I could not set the correct time.

I am not sure what people are banging on about on these reviews.I took delivery this afternoon, the instructions are very easy to follow, got barometric air pressure from the net, it took a couple of minutes to set the whole thing up,I have set the time manually to start and will see if I need to change the time zone by an hour but our settings are sent from Cumbria so should be okay.The colour screen display is really clear and can be easily read from 6 to 8 feet away with glasses 5 feet without glasses (depends your eyesight I guess but you get the idea) and the whole thing looks quality,In fact my son who grunts occasionally when out of his cave was very impressed with its looks and said so!!!!!! bloody hell it must look better than I thought!!!!!!The sensor was picked up easy and is currently giving an accurate reading for outside temperature.It just looks so good I am perplexed about the other reviews. The only thing it could be is I have used the external power lead and others maybe just using the battery option.Again it looks like a really expensive piece of tech (well it isn't cheap)I would have no hesitation in recommending this weather station to anyone.

It does what it says on the box, but I would have thought it would have auto clock setting. The angle of view is disappointing, as about 6 inches higher or lower the display fades.

This is a nice weather station but the screen is strange. If you want to put it on a desk and look down at it at a 45 degree angle, the screen is brilliant. If you want to hang it on the wall and view it on the level, the screen is not ok. The digits disappear. I sent it back as I want to wall mount my weather station. Disappointed.

Rubbish, you can't look at the screen in angle or you see nothing. Also, bad quality. Returned.

Il prodotto è valido con tante funzionalità compresa possibilità di spegnere la luce ed attivarla solo con il suono oppure con la vibrazione unica pecca nonostante sul display si veda la predisposizione dell' antenna che ricerca l orario Greenwich se non te la regoli da solo non recepisce alcun segnale sembra così tecnologico a guardarlo ma è solo un buon orologio digitale

La notice d'accompagnement est très insuffisante et les réglages sont laborieux. Aucune explication sur l'éclairage séquentiel de la pression, nulle part il est question du réglage automatique de l'heure... et pour cause.L'horloge n'est pas radiopilotée, contrairement à ce que laisse entendre la qualification de cette station : j'ai placé la centrale en divers endroits, y compris à côté d'une horloge qui, elle est radiopilotée, et fonctionne parfaitement, mais la mise à l'heure ne se fait pas. D'ailleurs, aucune icône d'antenne sur l'affichage, habituelle pourtant quand l'appareil est effectivement radiopiloté.On se demande en fait ce qui est "radiopiloté" : sûrement pas la température ni la pression, alors quoi ?Au total, je ne recommande pas cette centrale météo

Lieferung, Verpackung und Geraet in Ordnung. Inbetriebnahme erfolgte OHNE PROBLEME, alles soweit o.k. Kaufempfehlung! Die Ablesemöglichkeit (z.B. von schraeg vorne oder von unten könnte verbessert werden.

Positiv:- Schöne Optik und sehr helles Display- Außensender wird sofort erkannt und ist leicht mit der Basisstation zu koppeln- Außensender hat ein eigenes Display für Anzeige von Temperatur und Luftfeuchte- Einfache Einrichtung und Bedienbarkeit- Kann per Netzteil oder Batteriebetrieben werden- Messgenauigkeit würde ich nach direktem Vergleich mit anderen Sensoren als sehr gut einstufenNegativ:- Uhrzeit muss manuell eingestellt werden -> Keine Funkuhr- Steht die Station zu hoch im Regal, so dass man von unten auf das Display schaut ist es schlecht abzulesen. Ist in meinem Fall kein Problem, da sie bei uns weiter unten im Regal steht und wir von oben auf das Display schauen.Ich kann die Station empfehlen, ob der eingeschränkte Blickwinkel ein Problem darstellt, hängt vom jeweiligen Aufstellort ab.
