CK Products Sanding Sugar Bottle, 4 oz, Rainbow

I was unable to find sanding sugar in a larger size near me so I was very happy to find this. Great price and it isn’t a real coarse sugar which is what I needed. Fast shipping too. Will be a repeat customer. A++

I’m giving 4 stars because the color is not as bright as pictured, it’s going to be ok, but if your looking for that really bright punch of color, this doesn’t quite do it

PSA: these colored sugar crystals are big, way bigger than sanding sugar. If you’re intending to buy this to use in Wilton’s sugar writer thingmabobber, it won’t work.Sanding sugar comparisons aside… it’s purple sugar. Check. Works perfect for that.

The product came in time. I didn't pay attention to the shade of yellow it was upon purchasing. This color is called Bumblebee. I used it to top sugar cookies. The yellow is very, very light when it is baked. You cannot see it well, only the shimmer from the sugar. If you want a darker yellow then choose another product/shade. There is nothing wrong with the product itself. It was my mistake.

Mixed silver and black for ashes on ashtray cupcakes (with pretzel cigarettes) and it was very effectively disgusting! (And delicious!)

The media could not be loaded.  We did a color party for my friends birthday and each person was assigned a color. Being the color purple I had to create a purple cocktail. The perfect touch to my drink was actually having a purple rim. Everyone loved it and the birthday girl was super happy. 💜

This sanding sugar worked perfectly with a stencil to decorate the top of a cake. It was small enough to get into the details of each letter of the stencil. The letters were clearly-defined by applying a thick layer of this sugar and the color stood out nicely. It would also work well for decorating cookies and cupcakes, since the shaker makes it easy to sprinkle the sugar. The sugar was tasteless, unlike some other decorating products. It remained stable atop a whipped cream frosting for several hours and did not melt into the frosting, even though the frosting was softer than traditional buttercream frosting.I had bought CK's crystal sugar, sanding sugar and jimmies to try to decorate this cake, since I wasn't sure which size would work best. For comparison, I have included a picture of the sugar crystals (in black, at the top), along with the sanding sugar (purple, in the middle), and jimmies (in purple, at the bottom). Hopefully, this will help you better decide if this size is appropriate for your needs.

This color is beautiful. Any Michael's, Joanns, Hobby Lobby etc you go to looking for a light pink sugar is going to be a fail, as per my experience. They are all ways darker minnie mouse looking pinks but this is a true soft baby pink and exactly what I've been looking for for months. The color is beautiful

I used this over icing covered ice cream cones as part of a princess cake design and it really finished the cone wonderfully and the turrets of the castle were very eye catching! As sparkly as you could hope for.I felt it was a bit overpriced as I believe this sells for maybe $3-4 in the US but as this isn't so mainstream in the UK, I was willing to pay the premium.
