It IS a very SHORT summary. I've listened to it through audible several times, but without the charts it's very difficult to hold in your head. I gave my father the book version of this summary, but it also lacks any charts or graphs so it's almost equally hard to see the big picture. The takeaway sections are helpful. The information is interesting, but kind of shallow and it floats in your head without any charts graphs diagrams or pictures.

Last summer I read the original book. This summer I thought maybe I should read it again, but then I discovered this summary of the main arguments. It's extremely helpful, in my case as a review, but for some people it might be all you really want to know. I'm storing it in the full book for future reference.

I've watched/listened to several lectures by David Reich on YouTube and highly recommend this method of finding out what's going on. This summary is a terrific aid in understanding and remembering what Reich has to report. Very glad I found it

I find books on human history based on DNA analysis difficult to understand. This summary helped simplify things for me. The huge error bars on dates led me to question the accuracy of molecular clocks, and the section on 23 and Me was revealing. Why only four stars? I found the headings labeled "Key Point" redundant and annoying.

A good introduction and/or summary to help one decide whether to buy the book about which it reports.....or as a substitute for reading the more extended treatment of that is necessary for your purposes.

Because the research is complicated, this short book was written. Indeed, the lay person can understand.
