CamelBakEddy+ BPA Free Water Bottle

I’ve been using a generic bottle for the past year. Well it finally bit the dust so I decided, “why not get something a little more sturdy this time?” So I got these ones. I bring it to work with me and to the gym. I like how its easy to carry around. It hasn’t leaked on me either for the week that I’ve had it so far. From what I’ve read, this is actually a redesign of the classic by Camelbak. Something about the bite valve being a different shape? I’ve never used the original so I can’t comment on the change but I’m pretty happy with what I got.One thing that I particularly like is how the carrying handle is so wide. My previous bottle didn’t have that so it was always kind of difficult to hold. I can actually fit two fingers into it which gives me to get a good grip. I’m happy to say that I haven’t dropped it yet!What’s a review without a pros and cons section, right? Well here it is:Pros - The water bottle seems durable. Like I said earlier I haven’t dropped it yet so I don’t know if the material will dent easily but the construction itself seems durable? For one thing the top feels sturdy enough so that I don’t have to worry about attaching it to my bag. The straw that comes out of the top is also a good thickness. Its also wide enough so that you can easily get that liquid from the bottle.The size means that it holds a lot of water too. I don’t know if it has special insulation or anything but it does keep my water cool for several hours. The mouth piece is easy to use as well. It doesn’t make any funny noise when you drink out of it which is a huge upgrade for me (that happened often with my previous bottle).Cons - Ok, so the color that you see on the listing isn’t actually the color that you’ll get. Well, its close but not really. I got it in blue and while it was blue, it was a lot darker than what it looked like in the picture. I still like it, its just that I expected it to be different. From what Ive seen this is the case for most of the other colors as well. So just keep that in mind when you’re picking out which to get.The other thing that I want to mention is that the bottle is a bit of a challenge to clean. Its dishwasher safe but you have to take apart all the components. From my experience I’ve found that its best to wash it by hand with a bottle brush- something like  these.  They get rid of the grime that builds up on the plastic. Make sure to pay extra attention to the spout and under the lid (the part where the straw connects), mold can easily grow in those areas!!Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. It’s definitely a step up from what I’m used to using.

I've been using Camelbak Eddy bottles for at least the past 10 years. They are the perfect bottles to bring with you to work, outside, or the gym. I mainly use my bottles at the gym where I can easily carry it around and get a quick drink of water whenever I need. What I love about the Eddy bottles is that they are durable and leak-proof. I never have to worry about my bottles cracking when dropped or leaking all over my backpack, and I've dropped many of them!The new redesign of the Eddy+ bottle bring some welcome changes. First of all, the loop on the bottle is bigger. Now instead of only being able to fit one finger though the loop you can now put 3 fingers through it. Now I feel like I'm less likely to drop the bottle when carrying it around the gym.The spout also got a small redesign. Instead of the spout being convex, it is now concave. I didn't know how I felt about the change at first, but it's proven to be very useful. I feel like you can get slightly more water out of the spout and there's a handy spot for your tongue to rest (if you like putting your tongue against your water bottle?)Lastly, the top of the bottle has been slightly redesigned. There's no longer a screw under the spout like on the old bottle. I often found that grime would get caught in this screw from time to time and you'd need to manually scrub it, but it is now gone.The Eddy bottle is a challenge to clean by hand. CamelBak sells scrubbing kits just to clean their bottles. I've found that if I put the bottles, straws, and lids in the dishwasher after use, the bottles come out sparkling clean. From experience I've found that only washing the bottles by hand without using a scrubbing brush allows grime to buildup in the bottle over time no matter how often you wash the bottle. You have to be EXTRA careful to clean inside the spout, under the lid, and where the straw connects to the lid. I've found that if you ignore these places, black mold spots are guaranteed to grow after a while.Overall I love these CamelBak bottles and the new redesign is definitely a step in the right direction for me! I'll definitely buy more of these when I inevitably lose my current bottle.

I’ve had it for months now and the eddy has held up... to the dishwasher, drops on the concrete, backpack (no spills). Speaking of spills you can have it upside down in your backpack full of important papers and rest easy - it won’t leak if, of course, you have a defect-less, properly screwed on bottle. Granted cold water means condensation and the bottle isn’t great with that, it sweats a lot. I normally like room temp so it’s fine there. Haven’t tried with juice or anything other than water so I can’t speak on how easy other stuff is to clean out but I put it in the top row of the dishwasher or hand wash and it’s easy. I’d get a tool for the mouthpiece part (I have one. I’m one of those who like to clean every part I can) and take off the parts you can for an efficient clean. Hope this helps. Worst case scenario send it back before 30 days with prime and Amazon has been great for returns when I had to in the past. Favorite part: biting to sip instead of leaning my head back. Haha, I don’t mind old school bottles, but I think you get what I mean if you’re reading this about the Eddy bottle. Oh, and the stream when you suck the water out is plenty. If you’re hot or working out it might not feel fast enough depending. But while hydrating per usual it’s great. Enjoy! I recommend, most definitely.

Me agrada mucho la botella, me encantaría que trajera un popote de repuesto, siento que no va a durar mucho tiempo en perfectas condiciones ya que lo tienes que morder para poder tomar agua. Sin embargo, como todos los prod de la marca, muy buena calidad en general

Es muy cómodo, práctico y eficiente de usar para no tener que abrir la tapa, la boquilla o algo por el estilo y super confiable para que no se caiga el contenido.

This is a great water bottle. It's 32 oz. and easy to hold. There is no plastic taste and it is dishwasher safe.Great product for the price.
