IQAir [GC MultiGas Air Purifier] Medical- Grade Air [HyperHEPA Filter] - Odors, Smoke, Allergies, Pets, Asthma, Pollen, Dust, MCS, Swiss Made

We have an indoor cattery, about 500 square feet, with (currently) seven cats living in it. Prior to getting this filter, my wife and I had very different reactions to being in the room - it didn't bother her at all, but if I spent more than a few minutes in there, my eyes would water up, I'd get the sniffles, and the sharp odors of urine and ammonia would make me crazy. Within an hour of turning this filter on, all of those issues went away for me! We leave it on at a low setting, and it is doing a wonderful job of cleaning up the air in there. There is no longer an objectionable smell, and I can stay there as long as I'd like without having my eyes water up or getting the sniffles. Fantastic!When we received the filter, the shipping container was undamaged. However, the heavy carbon filters had come loose from their mounting plate, and they rattled around inside the unit. This broke off about a million little plastic pieces from the inside of the top piece of plastic on the unit, a large assembly called the diffuser. In addition, another large plastic piece (the pre-filter holder) had a crack in it. Neither of these issues actually affected the filter's functioning, but still - for a new piece of gear with a price tag like this, you'd really like to have it be, well, new and undamaged.So I called their customer support, was connected almost immediately with a rep named John V., and we had a short, friendly conversation about what had happened. He asked me a few questions, asked me to send some photos of the problems and the serial number, and said they'd ship out replacement parts for me. A few hours later, I got an email with the FedEx tracking number, and two days later, the parts arrived. They were the correct parts, brand new, and replacing them took about 5 minutes (and no tools!). Now my filter is new and undamaged as I'd expect.Kudos to IQAir and John V. for their excellent customer service - and an excellent product!

You truly don’t know how dirty your air is until you use an air purifier that really works!I am an owner of 5 Macaw parrots. They produce so much dander it became a huge problem for me. My eyes and throat were always irritated, and I was constantly sneezing. My Macaws have a very sensitive immune system. They are receptacle to sinus infections, respiratory infections etc. I read an air purifier with a HEPA filter would help. I saw many recommendations for IQAir systems on bird sanctuary blogs and FB groups. Being I have 5 birds I opted for the IQAir GC Multigas which is the system with more carbon for gasses and odors. I figured with the construction we are doing in our home this model would be the best one for everything going on. The IQAir came well packaged, double boxed with detailed information on how to get the best performance out of it. The system came with a remote, long cord (thank goodness) and castors which made it easier for me to move it around. There is no guessing when to change the filters. The lights on the face of the system changes colors when it’s time to change them. After having the IQAir in my home for only one week I have noticed a huge difference. The flying particles have dramatically decreased, my allergies are under control, it was all worth it. I don’t even smell the dander anymore, if you are a bird owner you know what I mean. Not only am I now protected from harmful particles and allergens, but my babies (Macaws) are also breathing the best cleanest air possible. The IQAir GC Multigas is a well-made system and the technology is outstanding! I would recommend this product to all bird owners and allergy sufferers. I finally can enjoy my new home.

If you are chemical sensitive like me, this machine will be invaluable to you.If windows are open and some fire or chemical smell comes in the house, it can erase it from a room within minutes. If your oil burner fumes find their way into your living space, same thing. Neighbor laundry & other chemical fragrances floating into your window cracks, you will feel safe knowing you have it. The filters last a very long time, especially if you use the device only when needed. So happy we made this investment.

IQ Air GC Multigas.I don't recommend thd IQAir Multigas purifier. I was only able to use mine for 3 to 4 months, because the filters in the unit have a stinky vanilla smell that makes me nauseous and gives me a headache. I used this purifier in two different houses with completely different furniture. Every time I turned it on, it would create that awful smell. It took me awhile to realize it was coming from the unit, and not my houses. I finally turned it off one day, and the smell stopped. If you read other reviews, you will see other people had this problem as well. Now the purifier sits unused in my living room, and takes up space for nothing. I tried to contact the company about the filters, but they seem very uncaring and unhelpful. I wish I had contacted them sooner. They told me that the 4 gas filters only last two years, and I should replace them. Funny, but I've only had the unit 10 months...a lot less than 2 years! I even changed the pre-filter, but it still had that nasty smell. Also, what guarantee do I have that the new filters won't smell if I buy new ones? I already have a $1300 purifier I can't use, why should I spend $400 more for new gas filters that might stink, too? Am I dumb? Purchase at your own risk!

We’ve had this unit since May, 2020. With three cats and their stinky business, this air purifier is a miracle. We all noticed right away that the litter box stink was gone. Now, I will admit, we have two litter mates and this thing in the same room. The only major smells happen when there is a power outage. As soon as the outage resolves, this thing kicks in and no smells again! For those that say this unit doesn’t work…I have no idea what their setup is or if their units are faulty, but for us it works fantastically. We have it set up with room around all sides of it for optimal airflow and we change the filters when prompted by the display. Easy!If you can afford the price tag and need a heavy duty air purifier, there’s no better one out there in my opinion.
