They should just sell this with the fountain since the reservoir that comes with it is so small it is almost useless. But this way they get an extra 12 bucks for a cheap plastic item. At any rate I now have the large and small one so I can fill them both up and use one while filling the other.

I don't understand WHY the manufacturer doesn't just make these with the extra capacity reservoir to start with. I love the NatureSpa UV water fountain because my cats love it, and it seems to do what it says it will do. But they should just make it with the extra capacity reservoir to begin with. I don't see the point in buying a fountain with a small capacity reservoir and now I have the small capacity reservoir that I don't need and won't ever use. They should at least give the buyer the opportunity to select small capacity or large capacity and save the environment from extra unnecessary plastic floating around out here. As for the fountain and the large capacity reservoir, I highly, HIGHLY recommend them for pet owners (cats and dogs). My cats love the fresh circulating water.

Wish it was larger, even with a the additional tank. We fill it 3 times a week with two kittens and an adult.

I love this pet water fountain and, more importantly, my cat loves it. The larger water reservoir was a much needed addition and works great. What some people, I think, do not understand is that this fountain has an "internal" reservoir in the back through which the water circulates, passing through two separate filters. The extra reservoir just adds more water to the system, so you don't have to check it as often. To be clear, this is not a large fountain and even the reservoir is not huge. But I have one large male cat (18-20 pounds) who uses this fountain almost exclusively, and we only have to refill the reservoir every few days. Honestly, I think the system works very well. Plus the motor on the fountain is very quiet.

Cheap, flimsy plastic. The screw on water stop does not fit tightly. The threads are misaligned and very, very thin. Would not set in reservoir properly, so I took screw from the smaller reservoir and used it and it fit. I think it's because plastic is so thin and flimsy on the threads they become misshapen.

This extra capacity reservoir is a must if you have multiple cats in your household. I was filling the small reservoir everyday and sometimes even coming home to a noisy pump due to low water levels. I only wish that this extra capacity reservoir came with the unit in the first place because now I have the original reservoir sitting there...unused....to be thrown away.Not enough to subtract a star but it would have been nice if the plastic was slightly clearer so I can see the water level a little easier.

had to return. Thought I was buying watering system but this is only a reservoir. I am sure it works fine. Be careful ordering

Holy crap this holds a lot of water. From now on, this goes on every fountain I buy (have 5 cats that love to drink from these fountains).
