I thought I was ordering an adult hat. The listing is a bit misleading. However, I ordered the large/X-large and it fits a medium adult head, or at least my medium adult head. But, the big thing is this, it fits great, is very warm, keeps out the winds, and can fit under a baseball cap if you want to wear a cap over the hat.

Warm but not thick, heavy, or tight. Covers ears well but comfortably. Only hat our son will wear - and wears at school without prompting even when friends are not wearing hats. Can't beat it.

This was a gift for my grandson. I have the same hat in the adult model. It is very warm for its weight, effectively keeps ears warm, its low profile fits under other hats & helmets and its stows easily in pockets. Its effective range is 0-35 deg. F during moderate exercise. Outdoor Reasearch makes good stuff.

Very small

This hat stays on very well and keeps her head nice and warm. The nice small size packs easily and is ideal for the "emergency pack" we keep in the car during winter.

We love this hat. We have many others but these hats are our go-to. They are stretchy enough to be worn for multiple seasons, even though the kids are growing. Love the fit and the warmth. They wash well and look great. We get compliments everywhere we go.

It works well, as advertised. It's thin but provides adequate warmth and shields wind well. You could wear it by itself or under a hood in extra cold weather. Also, I have a small adult head size and the kid's size hat fit me well.

It fits. It's warm. It fits under a helmet. It's what we wanted.
