Schley Products, Inc 61500B Gm Water Pump 4 Pin Fan Clutch Pulley Holding Tool

Ok, so there's a ton of ways to remove a fan clutch, but on the Duramax this is absolutely the solution! I tried everything I knew to do, and some things I watched on YouTube. Air hammers, big wrenches, you name it and we tried it. The fan clutch on my 2005 LLY was just plain stuck. No parts stores carried a spanner wrench big enough to fit the Duramax setup so I ended up ordering this tool, and within 2 minutes I had the fan removed! Quality, well-built and easy to use!

Finally; a holding tool that works. Had to remove a fan clutch that was impacted by a front end collision. Tried all the pulley holders on loan from auto parts stores. Nothing worked. Thought I might need to use the hot wrench on this one. Bought the Schley tool. Used it along with my 1 3/8 Proto end wrench. Blocked the Schley with a piece of steel to the sway bar, and then gave the wrench everything I had to bust it loose. The Schley held up. Did the job. Excellent tool.

We have fought the pulley behind the fan nut on my husbands Duramax more times than I'd like to admit. Each time spending about 4 hours with lots of cursing and tools flying. I gave up and ordered this and a huge strap wrench. Husband met the FedEx guy tore this package open and had the fan off in 15 seconds. Definitely the right tool for the job. Water pump is fixed, Duramax is happy. Just buy this tool, you won't believe you ever tried another way!

Worked awsome and incidentally I had to take my fan clutch off like 7 times thanks to that stupid o ring on the bypass tube, was extremely thankful I bought this tool.

Not a good tool. In the first use, 2 pins fell off. Before buying the tool I read the reviews and saw this same thing happened to other person, but I still decided to give this Scheley tool a chance. Now I regret that I did. I had to return the tool and get a refund. Amazon always takes care of my returns very fast. I am pleased on their part but very dissapointed on the manufacturer's part. If you want to buy a solid tool this is not it. Stay away and save your self a headache.

This wrench fit exactly like it was suppose too. Made tightening the fan clutch easy.
