More Than Words: Level 1 (Living Faith Bible Curriculum)

Lovely! But Price Doesn't Allow for Both Levels
This is our first year homeschooling, a choice we never planned on having to make but did due to Covid-19. After watching countless YouTube videos and reading "Mom blogs", education sites, etc., we were excited to get our hands on this book! More Than Words seems to currently be the go-to in the homeschool community for Bible curriculum. Rebecca's videos are where I go for thorough lists of curriculums for different subjects and how I was able to piece together our curriculums with minimal stress. So far, we are LOVING IT! It's a beautifully written book with color pictures. Gentle and easy to do, with room for family discussion and creativity. Most of all, I love how easy it's made teaching my littles about God. I'm enjoying reading every morning right alongside them. I appreciate that it encourages checking in with and reading Bible scripture straight from the Bible. The only thing I regret is not purchasing the Level 2 instead of 1. Due to price, I was only able to afford one for now. Since I have a 4 and a 9-year-old, I chose Level 1, so my 4-year-old could understand. However, he's there for two seconds and off to play, but my 9-year-old and I like to continue discussion, adding our own little "extras" to make the lesson more involved for her. Regardless, we are loving this time together, and I'm grateful for it. Just wish I could have afforded her level as well, as I feel she's missing out. Now I'm on the hunt for a girl's study bible (hopefully half this price).

Curriculum 5 Star - but Amazon, I’m disappointed.
I rcvd my order today - I purchased “new” & it looks like the book was pre-owned and sitting in the attic for a few years. What the heck Amazon?!The rating is for the content itself. I give the curriculum a 5 because I love how Rebecca brings the Relationship with Christ to life for kids while also intertwining “school” (copywork, language arts, poem/art & word studies)

Shirt, sweet and perfectly written.
I purchased this as a first devotional/ apologetics workbook for my 2nd grader. It is just short enough to keep his interest daily. Each day is a slightly different task and is only 4 days a week. If you are looking to add bible/ devotional/ apologetics to your homeschool this one is perfect!

Wonderful curriculum!
We are loving this book. I explained to my kiddo that the passages are from the authors children and she loves hearing stories from their perspective. I was worried about that from the other reviews but not a problem here actually it’s a great part of the book!! Will be buying the second one for next years schooling 💛

Wonderful book for keeping kids attention
I have to say I REALLY LOVE what I see in this book. We have not started using it yet but we will be in about a month. I will be using it with my preschooler, 1st grader, and 3rd grader. I love the activities, and how it isnt all repetitive copy work. I see this book working really well for us.

Favorite Bible Curriculum
We choose to begin our homeschool day with this incredible book, More Than Words. God’s word and building character is so important to us! Reading and copying Bible verses to hide in their hearts, beautiful art and hymn studies and learning character development is shaping my children into the people of God’s promise and kingdom to come.

Doesn't represent diversity culturally and ethnicity wise : (
I'm a foster mom who has adopted several of my kiddos and they all come from different cultural backgrounds, they range from beautiful olive skintones to a gorgeous deep brown. Sadly, only children with caucasian features are depicted in the illustrations and even the artwork chosen is has the same issue. My two 8 year old girls were upset when they couldn't find children that had their features and that their ethnicity was not represented in the artwork; it really hurt them that a book about Jesus was like this. It's 2020 not 1950 and authors and illustrators of children's books should be aware of how this affects our children... especially when it comes to Christian books. Hopefully the author and illustrator will take this into consideration and revise their book. The world of art is so vast and diverse, that it isn't hard to find artists who depict religious scenes representing a beautiful array of cultures and skintones.

Great for homeschooling!
We are using this for homeschooling kindergarten and grade 2. It’s very engaging for my kindergartener but my grade 2 is a bit less interested. It’s got lots of activities in it and isn’t boring. I like it.

Definitely worth the wait and and price!
My 5yr old is enjoying this book, and it's very easy for me to use with her.I only wish it was a bit cheaper so I can buy more as gifts for friends.

Highly Recommend
We are in love with with this curriculum! I can’t recommend this book enough. It is everything I wanted in a book to teach my kids more about The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I love that each day is only a single double sided page that can be ripped out. So thoughtful and easy to use.
