All Around the Zodiac: Exploring Astrology's Twelve Signs Paperback – December 8, 2001

I'm an intermediate-to-advanced astrologer, and I left this book sitting on a shelf for a while because I didn't really consider it new territory for me; I was more focused on learning new techniques, and the subject matter of "All Around the Zodiac" seemed most instructive to a beginning astrologer. I wish I had read it sooner! While this absolutely IS a fantastic book for the beginning astrologer (seriously, buy it!) it's also educative for more advanced astrologers. Even if you've been there and done that as far as the subject matter is concerned, you'll probably gain a fresh perspective or deeper understanding. Part Two in particular, on how signs interact with each other is insightful and comprehensive. I recommend this book to any astrologer or aspiring astrologer; no matter where you are in your astrological education, this will not be wasted money!

Never have I read a book with so much information on the Zodiac. Not only does it tell us the personality traits and qualities of each sign, it also allows to see why. In this book you will read about The elements of each sign, and the modes of each sign. This book allowed me to understand the Zodiac signs in a fuller and deeper way than I had hoped. It shows us every angle of the Zodiac not just the basics. It compares signs to reality, allowing us to understand more fully. This book helped me think of the Zodiac in a more serious way. I enjoyed the analogies it gave, without these, I probably would have been bored. It listed fascinating facts, ones I had never heard of. It explained the uniqueness of each sign, better than any source ever has. A great read!

A very thorough, deep, and practical look into the signs. The author writes intuitively and with a touch of humor. He presents meaning of the signs in the holistic sense of the Zodiac and offers advice on how to work with them in your life. I really enjoy reading the interactions and comparisons of all signs with each other - I think it can apply to a single person's chart or across people.

I've been studying astrology for 7 years, and I adore this book. His descriptions of the signs as symbolic entities and their relationships with one another are clear, well-conceived, and almost poetic. In particular, the second section on how two signs enhance each other or create challenge when both strongly present in a person's chart is extremely useful. The first section, where he describes the procession of the zodiac through all the signs, manages to capture the essence of each sign, even down to the tone he uses to describe them. I'd recommend this book for intermediate to advanced students of astrology who love, above all, interpreting the personal planets in a person's birth chart.

Easy to understand

About the best book to help you really understand the signs of the Zodiac. I’ve recommended it to people starting out before, and since I lost my copy I ordered another.

Lots of information. I wish it had a bit more quick reference included but over all it is well written.

I really felt that there are some new fresh insights even though I have read astrology books for more than 30 years. Tierney has a very clear easy to understand way of writing. I enjoyed this one very much.

Bil writes about all 12 of the signs of the Zodiac in a clear concise manner, with a teeny bit of cheeky humour to lighten things up.Not only does her cover what each signs motivating factors are, he also covers how each sign 'gets on' with each other, how planets energies change when they're in each sign and lastly how those signs affect each house of the Birth Chart.Even if you know nothing about Astrology, there is enough information here to help you understand yourself and others in your life.If you're a seasoned Astrologer/Astrological Fan you'll enjoy having a useful reference when you get stuck with a chart.I enjoyed every moment.A Great Read!
