The Unexpected Champion: (An Inspirational Historical Western Mountain Romance) (High Sierra Sweethearts)

I enjoyed all three books, but the third was definitely my favorite. Lots of laughs and just plain fun! I plan to read more from this author.

The storyline draws you in, and you get to know the people. I can almost picture in my mind what they all look like! I can't wait to read about how they live in the West! The only thing I don't like is that I'm losing sleep because I can't stop reading!! Lol

Loved the adventure through the story. Although at one point the statue of liberty was referred to, in a sentence, of course did not exist yet in the story line. It was still a good adventure following Penny who was a true frontiers women and John the hired detective. Enjoyable read with a little family craziness mixed in.

Ed's wife here: This is the third in the series. All of them were good reads; I like this thrid one the best with Penny - the no nonsense sister. Get them -- though I think they are better read in sequence (which I did). They are stand alone if you didn't want to read the whole series, but then you might miss the insights into some of the characters as they are in each book and other characters added. I got book 2 first then book 1, but read them in order, and liked them that I looked for that third one to read about Penny.

This book started out fast and kept it up to the very end! There were times I didn't want to put it down . Thank you for sharing your God given talent of writing!

This the third book n the High Sierra Sweethearts series was just a wonderful book I had trouble putting it down.Opening this book was like rejoining a group of friends.Penny and John MCCall meet each other and end up chasing the bad guys together and trying to keep the kids safe too. She learns to act like a Pinkerton from John’s training .

Love this story about John, the Pinkerton detective, and Penny. Raddo is finally dead, but their troubles are not over yet. Penny and John get kidnapped and brought to talk to a shadowy figure. They escape, but the kidnappers pursue them. They uncover who the shadowy figure is, and head to his mansion. A great story with twists and turns, romance, and humor. A great way to end the series.

I just love all of Mary Connealy's book's , I think I've been fortunate enough to have found her. It's hard to find a book that's not loaded with violence and sex. But Mary's books are wonderful.

Think this was my fav book in the series and was a good round up of what had happened throughout the three books. Loved the banter between Penny and John.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was filled with action and a budding romance that began with a man calling a lady a pretty child-stealing pest. This was a clean, engaging book with a few twists thrown in. I would highly recommend it.

Finally, all the loose ends tied up. It was a great and enjoyable read. Really liked Penny and John, they were fun together; as well as very gifted. What a great ending to the whole story.
