OKEBA Portable Soldier Water Filter Water Purifier for Hiking Camping Fishing Hunting

Ordered this for camping emergencies, if needed. It is well built. I like the fact that you don't have to buy filters for it because it has a ceramic filter that can be cleaned for reuse up to 2000 gallons. Shipping was very fast, I got it within a week of ordering. It was well packed and arrived intact. There was supposed to be a tube of lubricant included in the package that was not there, but that is of no concern, because that is easy to come by. It would not be the sellers fault, but that of the manufacturer. I am well pleased with the seller and the product.

I can't say that I love it because I've yet to use it. I live in a hurricane prone area and flooding seems to be the "in" thing here lately so this is a nice piece of insurance should the drinking water get contaminated. It seems to be well made - solid and ergonomic. Very small, light weight and packable in it's "eyeglass" case. Glad I bought it.

Not bad for emergency water. The filter is small so make sure you use a strainer on the end of your suction hose. If you don't the filter will clog pretty fast.

I was hoping against all reasonable hope that a bargain Chinese water filter wouldn't kill me on a short, 3-day backpacking trip in the Rockies. It didn't kill me, but then I didn't give it much of a chance to. The plastic housing broke, the hose was constantly slipping from the pipet and the filter clogged up about every 30 seconds. Switched to iodine tablets and never looked back.

This little water filter is excellent. Takes up very little room in the pack, it actually fits in an eye glass case. Weighs next to nothing. I timed how long it took to fill a 32 oz. Nalgene water bottle and it did it in less then 5 minutes without a lot of physical effort involved. I've had bigger heavier faster filters but honestly what kind of hurry are you going to be in ? You're out in the woods relax enjoy the view drink some water.

Nice solid plastic body. Haven't used yet.The packaging is a solid glasses case which is good for slinging in a purse but may not stay together in a ruck sac. So I recommend it come enclosed in a waterproof resealable bag.

I am amazed at the size and light weight of this little filter. It worked perfectly on my 20 mile hikes through the Grand Teton Mountains this summer. When you need 3 or 4 quarts of water for a hike it really makes a difference in the weight of your pack. It took a very short time for me to fill my bottle. It was easy to understand and use. Highly recommended for the price!

Started strong and got me through about two long (2-3 day hikes), then it was like going to the gym every time I had to use it. Shortly thereafter, it stopped working altogether. I have taken it apart, cleaned the filter, hoses, and housing and it just doesn't pump anymore. Lesson learned.
