In my opinion this is one of the best G-Shock models .It's not the biggest , I think the size is great .What makes this model stand out is the ease of use and the illumination . This watch has one of the best illumination features of all G-Shock models . It's bright and very easily readable and it's multi-colored .A great model to add to the collection definitely doesn't disappoint

I am loving this watch - during its very first day. I will post again if my opinion changes, but I don't think it will. I bought several watches to try out and this one was the keeper. It is not difficult to program at all. In fact, given its display capabilities, it is nearly intuitive to program. The LCDs are a little little to see in reduced lighting, and quite frankly impossible to see in the dark. For the most part, those are very much secondary features to my lifestyle. This watch has some great attributes, all of which trump any cited small-lcd-display limitations. I WANT A WATCH TO KNOW THE TIME, right away and at a quick glance. This is THE watch for that purpose. Illumination is excellent. The hands glow some naturally. And when you press the illumination button (or activate it via wrist movement, if you opt for that), that illumination quick-charges the glowy hands and you can easily see the time. For travelers (that's me), the switch-over from one city code time to another is easy and simple. The alarms and countdown timer (I use frequently) and stop watch are all G-Shock user friendly. If you use the stop watch function a lot (I don't), then you might be disappointed in the size of the lower display. For countdown timer, it really doesn't matter since what you focusing on is the eventual beep. The watch is very big. Personally, I wish it was a LITTLE smaller, but I can live w it and it DOES NOT look like you've strapped a wall clock to your wrist. It fits well and wears well. It is beautiful looking, in fact. Although I'm not a suit-guy, it likely will find itself traveling w me to events that will be suit and tie. It's that good looking, albeit large and sporty. The compass works fine - keep your wrist level when you use it. I have not fiddled w the thermometer yet. Nor do I think I ever will. When I'm too hot or too cold, I typically know it.WHY THIS WATCH - In reality, most of the really smart info we all seem to get from our smart phones these days - weather apps w forecasting trump "remove watch from arm for accurate ambient temperature reading". I want a watch that tells me the time. And this one is spectacular for that purpose. I ride bikes a lot, and I public-speak frequently. I love love love that I can quickly and easily and even subtly (while public speaking) glance at my watch and immediately know what time it is. That sure is more polite than standing at a podium w your iphone. How funny - a watch that makes it easy to know the time. All the great technology in this fine product, and it is the most basic element of why one wears a watch that makes this one a winner. This is a great watch.

This is by far the absolute coolest time piece I have ever owned. When I first got it, the analog and digital displays didn't match up, but if you look in the manual there is a simple way to fix it. The compass also didn't point north. Same easy fix. The thermometer doesn't really work as it is affected by your body temp. The compass is awesome and works well. The time keeping is right on. It feels solid and has a good weight. The UV light and reactive display is probably my favorite part. It is absolutely beautiful. And there is a setting to make the light automatic. Using this setting if you have the watch on your wrist, hold it parallel to the ground then point it toward you the light will automatically turn on. Coolest thing ever.

I have had this watch for two weeks now, and im loving it.The design is sleek, the amount of detail is astonishing.It is basically well made and is a perfect blend of digital and analog technology. The hands sync with the digital numbers in the watch. You can only set the time digitally, and when you do that, the hands will rotate until it ticks at the exact second the digital number changes, how cool is that?! When you change country, the analog does it all, changing until it suits the correct timezone.There are basically two extra functions to this watch.It can tell the temperature and has an inbuilt compass in it.Telling the temperature is a cool feature, however, not very practical if you are constantly wearing the watch. While wearing the watch you produce heat which will affect the temperature reading and it will be a few degrees higher then the actual surrounding temperature. It will only be accurate if you leave it outside for 30mins.With one press of a button, you can immediately tell where is north and get your bearings. Very useful if you are tracking or just want to know which direction you are facing.The lighting is very cool, but has one major drawback.When the light button is pressed, the watch will emit UV light which then illuminates certain parts of the watch, like the analog hands and all the numbers. It has a very nice futuristic feel to it and would definitely please any geek out there.However, the major drawback is that the light does not illuminate the digital readings on the watch. This affects many features on the watch. Thus, if its at night and you do not have a light source, you cant tell the digital day, digital time, temperature, stop watch and many of the other cool functions.Overall, i am pleased with this watch. It has met all my expectations and has only one bad point of no back lighting for the digital screen. This point is not that minor to be brushed off easily as sometimes during the night, you might find it annoying. But, with the sheer amount of other great gadgets and value this watch has to offer, look no further, this is the watch you have been waiting for. A great, sporty all in one everyday watch where you can bring it just about anywhere.

This watch is well made and nice looking. Very easy to read at a glance. It has the functionality that's needed. This watchband fit is maxed out for a wrist of 8.25 is my feeling. This is a nice watch and if you can get it when discounted..... Get it!
