Ordered a Second Set of These Lights
I like the design, the versatility, and the price of this product. I was led to this review page on route to registering for the warranty. I will post an updated review after I get a chance to use this lamp set with my hydroponic plants.12/12/20 I have been using the lights for a couple days for my hydroponic garden. I have not been able to figure out the buttons. When I followed the instructions to keep the lights on for 12 hours, the lights went completely off. I find the instructions hard to understand. Also, I sent two emails to customer service asking where to buy replacement lights should I ever need to do so. No response to either. That does not inspire confidence. When I registered the product, I received a message that I would receive a free gift. That was November 27 and it is now December 12. Nothing. So customer service is concerning at this point.12/29/2020 I ordered a second set because I liked the first set so well. I never did hear from Abbicen from my first set--I had an inquiry and also was promised a gift for having registered my warranty. But I like the lights and they work well for the needs of my hydroponic garden.

Good value. Nice features.
I purchased this for my houseplants that need supplemental lighting through the winter months. My yard is heavily shaded and I have no South facing windows, so getting enough light inside is a challenge. Out of the box it seems to be a quality made product and a good value for the price. The clip is very strong and wider than others I’ve seen. I have it mounted in my 2” thick fireplace mantel and it’s holding there great, though I don’t think it would open much wider. The automatic timer feature built in is very convenient. You turn it on and set the timer for 3,6, or 12 hours and it will turn itself off and on at the same time every day. The arms are very flexible and able to provide light at different heights. I have only had it for a few days, but my small Aloe Vera seems to have perked up and gotten more firm since I switched out my old light for this one. She was looking really floppy since bringing her inside for the winter. I will update after a few weeks once I have more time to observe its effectiveness.Edit to add on 12/21/19: I’ve had it for a couple of weeks now and my previously dormant plants have new growth in winter! See last two photos for new growth on my Aloe Vera and Fiddle Leaf Fig. I’m running the lamp 12-18 inches away for 12hrs daily.

Timer function confusing, but construction is great.
I just turned it on. I'm having trouble figuring out why it shuts off once I set the timer. It seems to be a toggle button. When I set it to 12 hours the light turns on, then turns off. So when I select the power you would think it would turn it off - the lights are all on (on the power panel, but the lights to the grow area won't work. so when I select the power button then all the lights on the power strip work, but I cannot select the number of hours needed (it won't light up). The power panel is confusing. The instructions not so helpful. perhaps I am to set the 3, 6, or 12 hour setting first? Then just select the power to go on? I'm leaving it. I guess I will find out in 12 hours if I have it still set on the auto timer or not. Unable to tell. The function of the timer is the only downside it seems at this point. Hindsight - I wish I would have bought the clip instead of the clamp, but wasn't sure how sturdy the clip would be and didn't want it to easily fall off. The other other issue is the CORD is NOT long enough and it unplugs too easily. IT should have a larger end on the plug that goes into the electrical receptacle for a snugger fit. When I tried to turn it on it came unplugged 3 times. Super frustrating. That and not being able to figure out how to set the timer and to get it to turn on. It seems to work backwards. I'd think it should be to set the timer to the number of hours first and then it would turn on. Instead it seemed to turn off (which appeared to undo the timer settings) not sure, we will see..

My telepathic pitcher plant seems to enjoy being bathed under this light.
It comes with a 3 Amp 5 Volt USB power adapter which is capable of producing 15 Watts. I like the fact that I can find alternate uses for that adapter if the light fails on me, or if I choose to go with another light in the long run. I like the color temperature when both the deep blue and the deep purple leds are on together which produces a pleasing high kelvin perceived spectrum. When all leds are on and at their highest setting the power consumption is 12 Watts according to Kill-A-Watt, so don't let the listing fool you into thinking it is 27 Watts. The 27 Watt claim really makes no sense considering the incandescent equivalency rating should be much higher anyway, so I have no idea how they came up with that number, but don't rely on it; but then again, don't expect such a high number anyway, consider what you are paying for it. I should note I currently have two plants underneath this, and they both seem happy. The picture I submit with the review is a small pitcher plant and it is definitely growing happily under this light. I can tell the daily growth between each passing day. I do plan to setup bigger lights eventually, but I am happy with this purchase, and I do highly recommend it for small plants.

Extremely effective lamp, helped me save my precious plant
I just recently purchased a small bonsai tree, and even though I gave it a good spot in my house with a lot of sunlight and gave it the appropriate amount of water needed, it still started to lose leaves. That was when I checked the internet for possible solutions to my problems and found out about the grow lights for plants. After comparing several lamps and reading the reviews on Amazon, I decided that this seemed to be the best out there especially since it has that handy timer function, which I use every time when I am going to work. I have been using the lamp for approximately one week now, and my Bonsai is feeling way better, it stopped losing leaves completely and is growing healthy. With the dark autumn months coming up also, I am glad I bought this lamp, as this was definitely a life-changer for the plant. I would absolutely recommend this lamp to anyone who wants to help and support their plant.
