Helen / Phoenician Women / Orestes (Loeb Classical Library: Euripides, Vol. 5)

Kovacs has done an excellent job updating the Loeb Euripides. His translations are careful and close to Greek, yet also appreciable English prose. Each play has also been presented with an excellent contextual summary of the historical, cultural and intellectual piecemeal present in each work. I have no complaints, and I little doubt that his entire update features the same care and caution that I find present in this volume.

Those who know the Loeb classical library will be aware of the quality and content of these books. The modern reprinting methods, and more accurate translations in these newer prints are evident. Excellent book.
