I Love You Because You're You

I gift this book frequently to new parents!!

This is a wonderful book with an incredibly important message, if you love your babies, read them this book, and often.

This book is sweet and touching. It graphically sets aside behavior and moods to show a parent loves a child unconditionally. My children and I love this book! The illustrations are adorable, too.

This is one of my toddler’s absolute favorite books (and mine too). We both love the message, and as others have mentioned, the meter is nice so he will actually listen to me read the whole thing — this is very rare. He’s usually too busy doing things or too excited and turns the page early or things along those lines (his patience for books is very limited) but this book - he’s all in. I knew he understood the message from a young age but just now, at age three, he turned to the page about anger and shouting and referenced a recent tantrum of his and we hugged and I am currently crying - it was too sweet! Wonderful message, wonderful book.

I got choked up the first time I read this to my little one. Such a sweet little story, perfect for bedtime or any time. I am always saying "I love you no matter what, and I will always love you." This book is so specific and spells out all the ways that a parent loves a child unconditionally. It's helpful for instilling a sense of security that a child can never lose your love, no matter what. So sweet! And the illustrations are beautiful.

Great book

This book has adorable illustrations. The rhyming is a little stilted, but not everyone will be affected by it. I think maybe it is a little too sappy for me as a mother, but it is very sweet. The basic premise is I would love you even if you were at your worst, and of course that rings true for me as a mother.

I used to read this book multiple times a day to my oldest child when he was a toddler. (9-10 years ago!) After moving a few times, our book somehow disappeared. I surprised my son with it today (he’s 11 now) and his face lit up and he said, “I remember reading this book with you when I was little!!” He quickly read through the book with a smile on his face. I’m so glad we own this book again and I can’t wait to read it to my other kids now too. It arrived in perfect condition and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

Both parents and baby love this precious, enchanting book. The drawings are very sweet and the words are written giving the book a good rhythm. Our son asks to have this book read to him over and over, and every time he looks at every single detail, and tries to grab the heart at the end of the book. We love the old style setting and the particulars on each page.The only word we find was used in a different way was "frisky"... :-)

The book is about unconditional love. The images are cute and narration is touchy. However, the cover arrived damaged so I will have to exchange it.

This is a very cute book with the Mother Fox telling the Little Fox that she loves him through all his different emotions. The book is a board book and the illustrations are very bright and colourful. My toddler loves pointing different things in the pictures. Its also a great book to talk about emotions i.e. happy, curious, scared, bashful etc. We enjoy reading this together.

This book will warm your heart when you read it…it’s honestly a book I would buy again or give as a gift!
