Makes digging post holes in rocky ground much easier and more successful. It's a well-made steel bar shaped and weighted for digging and it excels at that. It is too heavy to be used as a spear or javelin unless you are a serious brute on a steroid rage.

I purchased this crowbar to help me remove roots from small weed trees like buckthorn.It arrived very well wrapped and secured - I was impressed with the packaging the Ames Companies used.It is a heavy duty, 18 lb. steel bar.It has been an wonderful tool to get under the tree roots near the trunk, then pry up the trunk and main roots!I highly recommend it!!!

This thing is a beast! I lifted up and cribbed our giant Liberty safe with it by myself with ease and broke out a 2x2 section of our basement concrete that was uneven in minutes, same day. I cannot foresee it letting anyone down. It is just like the ones the railroads use that contractors love to get their hands on because they are indestructible and absolutelyhave a million uses. Until I stumbled across it here I thought they were something people got at railroad actions or got lucky and found at estate sales. Absolutely recommend

This is a heavy-duty tool !! We use it to make holes in the ground to plant small trees and/or large seeds. No need to bend over. Works like a charm.

I received notice from Zentra, that this product was no longer available. I assumed Zentra would not charge me for an item that was no longer available. I was wrong. Then I noticed getting ready for taxes I was charged. Zentra explained the product became available at some point shipped it I never got it. Zentra send nice letter saying they were keeping my money. Thank goodness I went through Amazon they made it right. Don’t buy from Zentra.

Well... Item arrived out of plastic with the box torn/ripped open. There was a nice chip out of the wedge too. My guess is someone picked up the box incorrectly, the weight of the bar ripped the box open and the wedge end fell on some steel or other hard surface chipping the blade. Also looked slightly used. In any case it is still a solid piece of metal and is usable to pry stuff with.

As good as the one my dad used to have, and he always said, "Son, I couldn't farm without it." Can't thing of a better gift for any man on your list. Good, heavy bar, will take all the punishment you can give it.
