Good Quality by Canon
As an Elph the iXus is a good compact digital camera with smooth operation. It is lightweight and fits in the palm of your hand. Image quality is smooth in comparison to other non-camera brands. The menu is a little complicated and does not seem to offer scene settings. My biggest worry is the battery compartment door is made of flimsy plastic.

Solid little camera
I bought this for my adolescent daughter to support her budding interest in photography. The pictures come out pretty clear, and there are nice zooming and focusing features. It would be nice to be able to just charge the camera with a plug-in, rather than having to remove the battery and attach it to the charger.

Good for quick snaps.
Good camera for quick shots. Use for police work to take quick photos. Just a pain to keep up with the charging the battery.

Mildew!
New product arrived permeated with mildew. The box, manuals, and all interior packaging are too mildewed to keep, as are the battery charger and cord (which were bagged but not sealed). Highly problematic and concerning! I am very disappointed.
