These used to $80, but now they're so much cheaper. I'd recommend you get them! Here's why:I used to buy $20 curlers from Target or Walmart, and while the prices were cheap, the curls also didn't come out so great.When I got the curler and barrels, I was extremely impressed. They came in a pretty and sturdy box.The curler heats up within a minute or two. I use a high heat setting of 430 degrees because I have coarse hair. It saves me so much time because the curler works so well. I have very long hair and it takes me 15-20 minutes to curl my hair as opposed to the 30+ minutes it takes for a regular Revlon curler.The hair also stays curled for an extremely long time. I once went to a festival where I had to camp for two days in the woods. My curls held the entire time.The 4 different sized barrels are great for different types of curls. I can do tight curls, loose curls, or even beachy waves with these.The only thing I don't like about these is that the two prongs that snap into the barrels to hold them in place broke within a few months of using. Fortunately, I can still use the curler - just have to be careful when I move it around or else it will detach slightly and not stay hot anymore. Otherwise, love this curler. Will nevergo back to my older ones again.Just a warning: it can be really hot. I unfortunately burned my neck and ear once because I wasn't careful. Less than a second of skin contact and my skin was irritated for 2 days. Be careful.To summarize ...Pros:- Heats up quickly- Different heat settings- 4 barrel sizes- Can achieve many types of curls- Curls hold for days- No need for hairspray- Great for even coarse hair- Sturdy packagingCons:- Prongs broke after a few months (but still able to use curler all the same)

OK I freakin loved this thing when it actually worked! i had returned one to the seller because i could not get it to work with an error message. I figured out that I wasn't turning it to lock all the way (it was REALLY difficult to turn it all the way over). So i got the new one easily after returning. It worked beautifully and I LOVED IT! My hair looked awesome and it was easier then straightening! Loved it Loved it Loved it! THe last time I used it I was half way through I heard a pop in the wand and then the lights just turned off. Now it will not turn on at all! I am sooooooooo sad because I loved it when it worked! So I was even contemplating returning for another one but my only option was to get a refund and return since I have already got another one. Probably for the better. I think I will go to Sally's or something. I am so bummed and I should have took everyone's word for it because I read the reviews about others having an issue with it just not working after a while. I am so so bummed. If this didn't happen I would have given it a 5 stare review but now it is literally useless. :(

This is an excellent product. I hemmed and hawed and read a million reviews before deciding on this one. I am glad I made this purchase. Part of my concern was price. I have a lot of styling tools, so I didn't want to spend too much. I mean how many curling irons does a girl need, right. Well, you need this one. It heats up super quick (up to 450 if you want fast or deep curls) and maintains the heat very well. I love the ability to program how long you want it to remain on before auto shut off. Having multiple barrel sizes is extremely convenient and allows you to create most any style with one curler. I would see the results of this type of curling iron on celebrities but had no idea how it was being achieved. Now I know. The curler comes beautifully packaged in a very sturdy box. I know that seems irrelevant but if a company doesn't even take the time to place their product in professional packaging it makes me question the quality immediately. Also, the box is sturdy enough to allow you to store it away when not in use or take it with you. I also love the professional cord, the quality and length are excellent. You are also provided a glove. I find this difficult to use as I need to feel the hair with my fingertips, but burns can occur with this kind of curler if you are not carefuI. I have burned myself twice while getting sued to the curler so I do recomment using something on the forearm, but once you get used to it and respect the fact that you are holding a 450 degree wand in your hand, burns are pretty much non-existent. The curls also really do hold. Mine hold for several days and remain wavy for some time after that. I have used this curler multiple times since purchase. I have only used two of the barrel sizes but as I change my hair style frequently, I am sure all will come in handy. Unfortunately I normally only feel moved to write reviews when I love something or hate it, when I'm lukewarm I just don't take the time. I love this clipless curling iron. It was a great purchase and well worth the price. I am African American and use it mainly on extensions on the higher settings with a heat protectant. The lower settings are ideal for natural hair.

Definitely worth the buy, Cortex is my favorite brand. The box that the product came in with was perfect upon arrival and the items were stored in a protective packaging that didn't do no harm to the product. It heats up very quickly and it curls amazingly. The only thing that I had a problem with is having to install the iron to the base. It claimed on the description that they upgraded for easier installation from one iron to another but it required a lot of effort to get it in and out. I'm thinking maybe because its still new, it may be a bit rusty so I'm hoping it won't pose any problems with the function of the iron in the future. I like the storage bag feature where it came with separate compartments for each of the different size iron. The gloves doesn't fit snugly unfortunately. Although it is heat resistant but only to a certain extent so be careful handling the hot iron for too long.

I bought this 10 years ago and still use it every day. It is well worth the price. It is super easy to use and has held up so well. It still works like it did the first day I got it!! I’m super happy with the way this styles my hair - highly recommend.

This one heats very quickly and has an auto shut=off. Best iron I have owned until it quit this week while on vacation. I would expect a $250 iron to last more than a year and a half. I’ve had another iron for many years. I’ve rated it a 3 based on its lack of longevity. Says lifetime warranty, whatever that means. Left seller message no response yet.
