A small improvement to extraction.
I thought this would make a big difference to extraction after reading the reviews. It does make your coffee taste better but it's more refining rather than a huge change. The smaller holes mean you can grind finer and extract more flavour from the coffee. The basket is very well made and good quality. Is it worth the money? Probably as it does help make better coffee but it's a small change. If you're after bigger gains buy a distributor tool.

Ridged basket problem
Mine will not stay in my Gaggia Classic portafilter, snaps in but as soon as pressure removed it pings back out by a few milometers :(

This is not a 58mm basket, looks much more like a 54 to me.

No good for Rancilio Silvia
No good for Rancilio Silvia. The basket is very loose. It falls out every time you bang the puck out. Puck is wet and sloppy.
