A very, very good read and a great start to the series!
Having read the reviews for this I am reminded of the fact that reading is subjective but still I am puzzled by how different we readers see things. I love this author. She has an ability to dig her way into all of our senses so that the story comes alive and we need to keep reading and know more. It doesn't matter the story line, well, yes it does in that this is about wolves and if you don't like paranormal you may not read this because of the subject matter, but ultimately it is about the writing and if it is well-done then the subject matter is more than acceptable. This is what happens when you reach for the pages of this author.I won't do spoilers but it is sufficient to say that the mating this series revolves around is an unusual one with very hot sex and multiple players involved but do not dismiss this as some little erotic novel thrown out by the writer. This book is about belonging, confusion of identity and the family you are not necessarily born into, and about love, deep, strong and abiding. There is a strong plot building and believe me Lydia is a character we can easily get attached to as her life changes in some highly charged ways. The book however is short and although there isn't a cliff hanger as such, there is a continuance into the next book that is hard to ignore and sometimes readers can be annoyed by this. Trust me it is worth every moment to continue. This is a great series from an extraordinary writer who pushes us into accepting situations simply by a clever manipulation of language and emotions, and this is what reading is all about.

I'll have some of that with ice cream please
This is a hot and steamy romance, full on werewolf story, that led me straight on to books 2 & 3.Looking back now I find this book not nearly as fabulously written as those ongoing books. It wasn't a must for me to move on to the next book, but it was certainly worth it.This novel is well written and definitely has an action driven romance solidly inscribed into the book.I believe the most difficulty I'm having with this review is that book 2 is so very much better. The tale becomes immaculately superior and the story line is a much more delicately drawn out story, with more relevant mood setting material and a truly twining tale. Book 3 once again creates a tale where we truly stumble over our own feet with the tangled web others around us weave. The bottom line is that I'm positive I've read these first 3 books before and I've solidly worked through them again. I'm pretty sure, however, that I haven't read book 4 which I'm now holding possessively to my chest. I expect the timing for the release of book 4 is why I've missed it pulling into the station.I grade the sexual content in novels by what I would or wouldn't read on a work day commute, so my most ardent advice here is don't read this on the train. The sex has jumped into be with my hot & steamy rating. Sounds good to me.

Made the Grade: Eye Of The Storm Series, Book 1
3.5 out of 5 stars! Fall into a world of survival, hot sex, and intrigue! I really liked Lydia as a character; she was strong when she needed to be yet willing to let things happen to her too. However, some of the relationship stuff between her and the guys (Ryan, Lawrence, and Taylor) was hard to tell if I liked it or not because it doesn't go into great detail. Yet with that being said, I do like the scene when they all come together. It was very hot!Overall, though the only reason I gave this novel the rating I did was because of the epilogue. Since the epilogue left more questions than answers and it brought up some scenarios in my mind that I really do not hope this plot will go. =0/However, on Ms. Hardy's website she does say, "At least three books are expected - possibly more. This series has one overall plot that is uncovered gradually throughout all the books as we get to know the characters and their histories. Not everything is answered in book one, and as is my usual style, this series is very fast-paced, told in multiple points of view, and not everything will be wrapped up in a nice neat bow until the very end of the series." Therefore, I can understand why she made the epilogue and a bit of the ending, the way she did. Yet I don't have to like it. =0PAnyway ... I still would recommend this novel to anyone who likes reading werewolf romance series with unique twists!Review By: From Me to You ... I could not put it down.
The only issue I had was that the story did not wrap up in this book. With that said it was still a great story. Lydia did not know she was a werewolf and had hot dreams of a man named Ryan. She did not realize that he was real. He was a werewolf and was being held by the bad guys. Lydia was a waitress at several different restaurants and the she sees Taylor who draws her in with his scent. He is searching for Ryan. She leaves her job because she thinks she is sick and goes home. She then shows up to her second job which is where she meets Lawerence who is the owner and also a werewolf. She is attacked by one of the employees and wakes up to see Taylor who helps her with her heat by touching her and then tells her she is a werewolf. She does not believe him and leaves for home. She has another dream of where Ryan is and goes to find him. I could not put it down.

A Story That Has Lots Of Twists
Lydia Martin has been having this dreams of a man ever since her mom died. She thinks that he is just in her imagination. He ruins relationships that she would have with other guys. No one can measure up to him. Every dream is more hot and erotic than the last. She doesn't ever remember what this guy looks like she just remembers his name is Ryan.Ryan is the alpha of his wolf pack. He has been kidnapped and they are wanting to know where his pack is. When they hear him say Lydia's name out loud they know they need to find her to get Ryan to do what they want him to do. Ryan knows that Lydia is his mate and has been looking for her for years. This book has so many twists and turns that you never know what is going to happen next. I have to read the next book just to put my mind at ease. The author did a great job and really kept me on edge wondering what would be the next thing to happen.

Interesting and lively start to a series!
Dianna has created a very intriguing world where werewolves live in a city in the modern-day UK. Not just that, but werewolves with a rather complex natural history, and supernatural enemies. I donβt really know what else I can say without giving things away.In summary, this is a fast-paced, intense story with some very steamy moments, and it introduces a cast of characters with a variety of sources of anxiety and tension. Itβs very much the first in a series, but it ends rather like a TV drama show might, with open questions, but not a cliffhanger.
