STAEDTLER Mars Matic 700 Technical Pen with Tubular Tip - 0.6 mm

This is my second .18 tech pen, I dropped the other one and bent the nib. This size is the fourth Staedtler Mars Matic. I have .1mm, .13mm and .2mm. I own 3 Koh I Noor tech pens and 3 Rotring pens. Staedtler is the best out of the 3 brands. Rotring has perfect flow and smooth consistent lines, but the line size is bigger than expected. Koh I Noor has the smallest lines out of the 3, but writing is scratchy and lines aren’t consistent. All in all, I love Staedtler Mars Matic pens, I wish I would’ve tried them earlier.

Working remarkable for ink sketches, the nib held better than any brand I have used, so far well over forty hours of sketch time and still working very amicably. Just placed orders for more.

A top tier pen. It is hard to go wrong with this one.

I really like the way this writes. I had intended to bring it with me on sales calls, but it can't make it over the mountains without purging ink. If I keep it in the office, it's fine. Take it with me, it leaks. I get that this was intended for a specific purpose, but I was hoping for more.

Don’t waste your money. It’s a $25 pen that’s made of plastic. At that price I’d expect a metal barrel. And get this… it HAD NO INK! You have to buy the ink separately. Terrible!

Dried up after one day of use. Would not unclog. So much for the double seal. Didn't give as fine of line as the Rotring pen.
